The guest house was, warm, clean, very peaceful, managed by Haroon and his wife, who makes you feel welcome, Only ten mins walk from Ipswich city centre, a bus stop outside and the train station close by, a few mins away, The hotel is well insulated from any road or train noise, as well as free private car parking alongside.

Served my purpose for work for 10 weeks cosy and comfortable and always willing to help, definate recommendation

Without doubt it was a value for money stop when visiting Ipswich for a football game, the location was close to the stadium and away pub.

Good price and friendly piepel. Nice stay.

Decent bed, clean room, nice manager. Parking available free. Right next to teain station so within walking distance of distance stadium and away pub. Several rooms have shared bathroom/toilet. Hotel wasnt busy when i stayed so not a big issue and the room waa cheap so fine. Coffee and tea in the room was nice touch. Walls a bit thin, the guy in the room next to me snored like a train and made more noise than the actual trainline.  I was only there a few hours to sleep so it didn't matter too much.

A Budget hotel that is worth a stay

It was easy to find. Haroon was friendly and helpful when enquiries made for a local taxi and for restaurants.Although there was tea and coffee making facitlies perhaps there could be some biscuits included as there was no breakfast available here.  The room we stayed in needed some repair work on the ceiling and there was minimal offerings in the bathroom i.e only x2 small tablets of soap. However, it was clean and comfortable.

It was clean and comfortable. Easy to check in. The only thing was the stairs when we had elderly relatives with us. Didn't expect them and there was no lift. It's also not advertised but there is a shared bathroom with the other guests on the same floor but there was no issue. Was cheap and cheerful. A nice enough stay for what it costs.

Islington is not the most impressively clean city I've been in, but it was certainly convenient to West Stow Iron Age Village and Sutton Hoo (and no doubt many other spots in the area).The biggest problem was checking in. Although the proprietor was eventually able to contact me through WhatsApp (which I only coincidentally had installed on a phone) I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to check in when my repeated attempts (including International Long Distance telephone call) to contact them prior to arrival were unsuccessful.The property is reasonably clean, although our room received no service during the three nights we stayed — not even clean cups for tea. The bathroom on the top floor was tiny, so I found it worthwhile to go down a flight of stairs to use that one. My daughter, who is less large than I, was satisfied with the one on our floor.More strange than bad, but not welcome, was the TV turning on by itself at 6:15 and 11pm every evening. We took to keeping a towel over the thing.While part of our trip was the "English Experience", and therefore trying to stay in small, private hotels, next time I may just book a chain hotel.

With its excellent location by the train station, and value for money, staying here last night was perfect! The hotel has everything you will need for your trip. The host was super friendly and accommodating, staying up late to check me in which was greatly appreciated. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and was very happy with my stay.

Bridge Guest House was clean, the triple room we stayed in was a good size, and the staff were friendly. For the price, which was very cheap, it was all we needed. The ensuite bathroom was small and not great, but usable. For a similar price you can stay in the easyHotel in Ipswich but Bridge House has the advantages of free parking, bigger rooms and more personality.

I needed a last minute stay and booked on the day. Due to various circumstances my arrival time was going to be very late and well beyond the normal last check-in time. Host was totally understanding and called me to discuss arrangements. Messages received with photos of what was where and what I thought might be a problem, was the complete opposite. Rooms clean and tidy, and unlike other budget stays I’ve done, a decent mattress that didn’t feel like it had been made from cardboard boxes! Nice crisp sheets, tea & coffee, microwave in room and a welcome end to a very long journey. Should the need arise again, I’d happily return.

This two-star hotel is a value-for-money place to sit close to the Ipswich Railway Station with a direct bus link to the city from outside the front door.The rooms are clean in reasonable decorative order and on a cold night warm.A huge annoyance to me was the use of blankets and sheets on the bed rather than a modern duvet.The television was very good as was the wifi.The hotel does not offer any food - ie no breakfast.There is nowhere close by serving food in the evenings so you will have to take a trip into town, or order in.

Room was adequate with enough space and facilities eg TV, tea & coffee, wash basin. Beds were comfortable enough. Room was nice and warm which was needed in November.Sliding door for en-suite toilet was a pain and light in toilet/ shower room fused twice.Host is very attentive and extra pillows, ironing board were no trouble attaining.Good location near to train station and football ground and 15min walk into main city area.Good value for a pleasing accommodation which suited my requirements.
