An absolute gem of a B and B

Booked through Booking.com for Brighton Pride. Cancelled out the blue via Booking.com without any regard as to why or alternatives. Shocking behaviour. Had to cancel our plans to attend Pride on the basis we're unable to find alternative accommodation for the weekend as places fill up months in advance. Appreciate this might be a small business, but to behave like that really is unfair without any repercussion.

Cancelled despite booking 12 months in advance

Visited for the weekend with my husband as we were both taking part in Brighton marathon. The owner Janine is an absolute diamond and can't do enough for her guests. Lovely big double room with nice en-suite. Perfect location for exploring Brighton and close to the marathon finish line. Will definitely plan to visit again, just to relax and not to run the 26.2 miles because that nearly killed us! 😅

Four Seasons Guest House is the perfect B&B to stay if you are looking for good quality service, food and great company.

 The host, Janine, is absolutely brilliant and full of character. We arrived and Janine had sorted out our parking permits and made us feel extremely welcome. The room was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. There was no noise from outside therefore we slept beautifully and woke up to an amazing bacon smell from downstairs! Full English and all continental supplies were offered and tasted amazing, along with friendly chats from other guests and Janine. 
All bedrooms were cleaned and freshened up during the day ready for when we got back. 

The location was 2 minute walk to the seafront and only 5 minutes to Brighton Pier. We explored the North Lanes and most of the bars and pubs Brighton has to offer. We recommend for drinks Twisted Lime/Lemon, Rum Kitchen and Brighton Rocks (round the corner from the guesthouse) and for food Franco Manca and Al Forno (little Italian also round the corner from guesthouse). We also walked along the front to Brighten Marina where the Upper Cliff walk is situated. This was a stunning walk. On the way back we found a brilliant adventure golf on the seafront which was very fun and quirky, followed by a milkshake at the bar! 
We didn’t have time to explore The Pavilion but would recommend for a rainy day. 

Overall we had a brilliant few days with lots to explore and enjoy. Staying at Four Seasons Guest House was perfect for us and we would 100% recommend. We will definitely use this B&B for future visits. Thank you Janine!

Brilliant guesthouse and fantastic host!

Just returned from a weekend couples golfing break. In short the Four Seasons was perfect for our party, close to the centre and all that it offers. 

Our party had both the king and standard double rooms, I would opt for the kings as the doubles although fine for my partner and myself are on the cramped side. 

Janine our host was simply the best, so attentive and cooked the best breakfast I’ve had at any hotel or guest house.  

To sum up, if I’m ever in Brighton I know exactly where I’ll be staying

Perfect weekend stay

Shocking service! Towels were dirty and had obviously been used before. Strong smell of cannabis throughout the guest house. Would not recommend staying here. Again very poor experience, dirty and smelly.

There are so many positives I don’t know where to start, lovely courtesy phone call a few days before arrival, amazing location (walkable to most of the attractions and one street back from the seafront),  fabulously warm welcome from Janine, immaculately clean throughout, great room facilities/decor to a fab standard, I usually struggle to sleep away but this bed was like sleeping in a cloud so slept so well. Breakfast was the best spread I’ve seen, so much lovely fruit, cereal, yoghurts and then the option of the best full breakfast plus homemade bread. Janine is clearly such an amazing person, lovely singing whilst she cooks, fab sense of humour and a warmth that makes this place just the best. We came for my daughters 14th birthday, Janine bought her a cake and got her a card as a surprise in our room. Could also see the sea from room 5. Cannot recommended enough and anyone that give this place a negative review obviously wouldn’t be pleased anywhere. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Top notch bnb in every sense

6 of us came down for an extended weekend Friday-Sunday. Real value for money; rooms were to a good standard along with an excellent breakfast service put on by Janine. Janine is really attentive & her service is first class. All 6 of us throughly enjoyed our stay, non of us would stay anywhere else apart from here if visiting Brighton again. Cannot see how anyone can rate this place low, Janines service and this accommodation are a template for a what a guest house should be.

Sorry but these people are just horrible. I had booked a 2 night stay last weekend (Friday and Saturday). My father passed away suddenly on Thursday (we are still waiting the coroners report) so I phoned them immediately we got the news. The owner was not there so was told to call back later. I then messaged the property straight away via Booking.com to ask if I could cancel and in the extreme circumstances either get a refund or move my booking. They refused. They made all kinds of platitudes of being ‘very sorry’ but actions speak louder than words. They are obviously only interested in money. I hope everyone reads this and realises what kind of people run this guesthouse. I wouldn’t stay there if it was the last place on earth.

Horrible people

Great location within easy access to sea front and town centre. Janine cooked a great breakfast and nothing was too much trouble we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.  Janine made us feel very welcome.Highly recommend
