From arrival to departure Jonathan, Melissa and Magnus (The Dog) were the most wonderful hosts. We stayed in the Fat Badger Hut which was absolutely stunning, the bed was the cosiest thing ever and the room was well decorated.Breakfast was delicious and filling. The little things including the beautifully lit garden with fairy lights and water features plus our hosts hospitality was unquestionably outstanding. This was a truly perfect staycation. We will definitely be going back.

We loved our stay. We were in the Fat Badger room in the garden. It is a tranquil oasis. The owners are so kind and can’t do enough to help. Breakfast is delicious with lots of local produce. One of the nicest places I have stayed in a very long while.

This is the best B&B we have stayed in the UK. The owners are very friendly. The location is brilliant. Our room was very clean and nice. Will definitely come back again.

Had a relaxing stay at this B&B. Our hosts very friendly and very helpful. The cabin in the garden was a quiet place to relax and see the wildlife. Even saw red squirrels in the garden. The location was ideal for walking into Cowes for an evening. Would recommend.

Spotlessly clean room with smart decor. Melissa and Jonathan are charming, welcoming hosts and accommodated requests. Freshly cooked breakfast in the conservatory looking onto a stunning garden. Dog friendly and backs in to Northwood Park for delightful morning walks.

Stayed here for one night and straight away we realised we couldn’t of picked a better B n B for the night . nice room , spotlessly clean , comfy bed and the couple who run it are very friendly and welcoming . We had an early ferry booked for the next morning and the lovely lady was kind enough to get up very early to do us a great cooked breakfast before we left . Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great b n b in Cowes . Thanks , Glenn

A 10/10 Stay

Really Nice B n B 

We stayed in a garden cottage, which was lovely.  The bed was very comfy and while the bathroom is on the small side, all you need.  The hosts and the full breakfast were wonderful.  We had our breakfast on our little balcony.  The back gate to get down to Cowes High Street is very handy, and on returning at night the garden is very well lit with pretty fairy lights.  Thanks to Jonathon and his wife for a lovely stay.

Little bit of tranquility on Isle of Wight

Had a fantastic stay at ward avenue b&b myself wife and dog booked one of the chalets and was absolutely wonderful unfortunately weather wasn't on our side but you have to make the most of it. Our hosts were fantastic and the breakfast was divine. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked to go again next year!!!

Best b&b around

I stayed for a week while over on the island for a work course, the hosts were lovely and always welcoming, the room was warm and spacious and the shower was great, the house was welcoming and the garden like something out of fantasy novel, the owners were super friendly and helpful and their dogs were lovely company, they supplied a great breakfast and conversation as well as offering me lifts to my course on days the weather was bad, would definitely stay again.

We arrived on Saturday for a family wedding. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. They agreed to an early check in so we could change before the wedding, and lent us an iron and a few other items that we needed. The host then showed us a quick route to the wedding venue (which was about 50m away) via the back garden. What a delightful walk through the garden again in the evening as we made our way back from the wedding. Lovely fairy lights all the way up to the house. The hosts were so considerate of dietary requirements and we had a lovely breakfast in the morning and a chat before we left. The B&B was ideal for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt the owners were very friendly.

Quiet and Comfortable

It felt like home. The hosts were amazing.! I was vegan and she was so considerate while preparing breakfast for me. Their cute little dog <3 They were very helpful in terms of recommending places to us for dinner. The way the hosts have maintained & decorated the place- we were legit in awe <3 would love to visit them again definitely for a longer duration and highly recommend people to at least stay here whenever they are in Cowes.

Paradise in Cowes

We stayed 2 nights in one of the chalets. It was perfect. Peaceful, private, beautiful esp at night with fairy lights throughout the garden.  Very comfy beds,  excellent tea and coffee making facilities,  good wifi, good shower,  soft fluffy towels, large breakfast ( with veggie and vegan options)  with perfect poached eggs!  Very dog friendly with direct access to the park from the back gate.  Our hosts were friendly welcoming and helpful but never intrusive. Great value as well.  I can't think of any faults and would highly recommend it to anyone.

A lovely place to stay

This lovely couple run a very person centred B&B, they were quick to go the extra mile, like a bucket for iced water for my poorly feet after walking the coastal path and installing fans for the record breaking temperatures! Breakfast was outstanding and they were flexible enough with timings so we could catch our early ferry. We had 2 nights here, separated at start and end of trip, one night in the garden room which was beautiful and very well equipped, the second in the main house, again very comfortable. Would definitely return 👍

A little garden paradise….

My husband and I visited our wonderful Isle of Wight this weekend for the Isle of Wight festival. We arrived on Friday to the lovely Jonathon at the door and he showed us through to our chalet (The fat Badger) this lovely little cabin is hidden in a fantastic garden and is secluded from the house so you can choose the amount of privacy you can have. There is another cabin in the garden too but is hidden away. Big comfy bed, great shower, smart tv, tea and coffee facilities (with proper cups!) It was a hot weekend and a cool box is provided too too keep your wine cool! 

There is a door at the end of the garden which leads you through to the back of the park and into the high street or straight down to the front (5 mins walk) which was perfect for us as we were out all hours going to and from the festival. 

Our breakfast of fruit, yoghurt, fresh coffee and a fully cooked english was served every morning on our verandah and went down an absolute treat and was definately an essential after all those warm ciders in the sun the days before! 

They have 2 lovely calm dogs too which was lovely as they were so friendly.

Thank you so much to Johnathon and his wife for making us feel so comfortable and welcome! We will DEFINATELY make sure our friends and family all know about you and we will be back very soon!
