Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok

Led by General Manager Carl Volschenk and his fine team we would celebrate a special Anniversary in the Hotels Rachada Suite. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by General Manager Carl Volschenk and his fine management team who took the time to quickly orient us to the hotel’s amenities and Titanium Elite benefits before ushering us up to the suite which consisted of a rare Bangkok out door patio overlooking the pool. The suite was spacious with teak walls and floor portraying a bedroom and sitting area in one large room which opened up unto a large private patio with a covered area and an uncovered area which consisted of a seating and an outdoor shower! The main washroom was just off the king bed area, consisting of marbled floors and walls, accentuating a large tub. There was also a small washroom just of the entrance with a toilet and sink for convenience. Titanium Elite benefits included breakfast for which we chose Rossini’s and were wowed by the culinary choices and tasty fare along with individualized service under the watchful eye of the ever-present supervisor. Elite Benefits also included all day snacks and soft drinks along with Happy Hour which along with evening snacks were served at the “Living Room”. Here again management would stop by in the evenings to converse with guests and address any issues that we would have. Being an older property the well equipped gym is a bit of a trek combination of elevators and stairs located off the parking garage, the pool is a treed jungled oasis that fills up quickly with noisy families and kids playing in very small area, while ignoring Adults only area’s, hence we really appreciated the quiet outdoor patio of our suite! It is rare to find a property with a dedicated team at your service, highly visible management, empowered staffs who went over and above to help us mail a package back to Canada and cater to our individual needs such as a nightly ice cream treat in the living room. Kudos to Carl Volschenk and his highly skilled team for making our anniversary and stay special – Your dedication and commitment to excellence was noted and appreciated!
