The atmosphere, inside AND out allowed me to feel and truly enjoy the beauty of the Swiss nature and culture! Inside the Gasthaus the facilities were top notch clean (no bed bugs!!) and have such a warm/cozy feeling from the amount of wood used in the decor. I had room 6 on the second floor....lovely balcony AND, one of the three doors to the balcony has a screen to keep insects out while letting fresh air in! Perfect! Katrin and Stefan are the best hosts and I sooooo enjoyed spending time one evening with them and a few of their friends that were visiting. My level of the German language does not include understanding the Swiss accent/dialect all too well so they would spot check to see if I was understanding or not and accommodate me with “Hoch Deutsch” as needed :) Enjoyed the attention from Amigo (puppy) and the kitties. They are so sweet....and clean :) I can’t wait to soon share with my 88 year old dad the jar of Katrin’s homemade preserves! I had a rental car and made day trips to Lucerne, Schaffhausen/Stein am Rhein and Amden/Walensee. There is nothing to NOT LIKE....it totally “fit” to me and easily met all expectations!
