The service is very friendly and welcoming. The food is the absolute hammer delicious bread with homemade butter as a free starter and then another greeting from the kitchen. The garden terrace is quiet and a playground for the little ones is also there.

The wild card has something for everyone. The duck netting was very tasty. The wine card is confident and also contains wines under Chf 60. The staff is very friendly. A train ride is very easy, it has many parking spaces for guests who travel by car.

It's just delicious

We spent 3 nights at the Eden Hotel in Sisikon in September 2021. We spent 3 nights but didn't really sleep, because it's impossible to spend a full night without waking up: it's surrounded on the north side by the semi-highway between Schwyz and Altdorf (or vice versa), and on the south side by the railway between Schwyz and Altdorf (idem), where passenger trains alternate with freight trains (even the night for the latter). The bathroom, we need the spacious enough room to sleep, will delight fans of the seventies with its look, which was not our case.

We're not going back!

We wanted to eat at the Hotel Eden. The hotel is very nice, not far from the lake. However, it borders on one side (distance 5m) to one of the busiest roads in Switzerland, on the other side (distance 30m) to the north-south connection of the Swiss railway. Here trains run in minute by minute. The traffic noise on both sides is as extreme as we've never experienced it before. We still wanted to eat in the very beautiful garden and had a table room. We got a seat and we could still order a drink. Meanwhile, the dining tables near the entrance were set up.

Table reserved, but waiting for 45 minutes.

On the way back from the teahouse, we went into the restaurant spontaneously. We hadn't expected much, and nothing unusual. We had taken a shady seat at a table in the garden, and we immediately noticed that there was plenty of room at the table. We were three, and we once had the ready-made leaf salad, the ready-to-eat slices of pomfrit and half the chicken. First we got a passive bouche, which was delicious: a glass of spaghetti soup and a jacobean shell on our salad inside.

It was an unexpected experience.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is ideally located, close to many excursions, places to visit, for example the Chapel of William Tell, the Swiss Way etc. The hotel is not new, which makes you hear the train passing the night even with the windows closed (by the lake). It did not prevent me from sleeping but people unfamiliar with noise can be disturbed by the noise. Comfortable room, large, large balcony. The food was excellent. The hostess is very friendly, helpful, smiling.

and one very delicous supper. Ok, back to the beginning. We decided to spend a night in the hotel including a supper. As other visitiors already mentioned, the rooms are somehow out of date. Not definitely wrong, but based on todays circumstances: the room did fit its purpose and even more important: it was spotless clean. five points. Another part was: Based on CoVid we were the only guests in the hotel, but the breakfast was more as we expected.

Back to the restaurant: the chateuax briand was excellent and also the starters we had (field salad and fish soup), nothing to complain about, just outstandig.

We will definitely go back there!!

One night in the hotel...

Unplanned, stranded in Sisikon, we searched for a restaurant and happened to discover Eden, which unfortunately doesn't appear when looking for restaurants. The visit was an extremely positive surprise, we ate great and were served very well. Very highly recommended.

Restaurant at the Eden Hotel, a highlight

We thought that with the beautiful view from the hotel and the "Gilde" restaurant, it would be quite a beautiful weekend. 
- the view from the balcony is amazing, but there's no comfort at all. Two metal chairs only. Not cosy.
- the room HAS NO WI-FI, although the hotel offers it. Be aware: WI-FI only at the restaurant building. 
- Television, almost all channels in German or French. 
- No room service, no fridge. Not even a bottle of water. 
- Breakfast: Apples, bread, 2 types of cheese, flakes, salami, ham, butter, jam and yogurt. Everyday the same. If you want something warm, we recommend you to ask for cooked eggs. 
For a "Gilde" restaurant, we expect more. No pastry, no other fruits, just the basics.
- The restaurant: the food was great. The only highlight we had.

Disappointed 

Very nice hotel very well located. The restaurant offers very good and affordable dishes. I recommend tartar or pulled pork burger. Very smiling and friendly staff. We had an excellent stay.
