Hotel Lüderenalp

The location of this hotel, on top of the mountain/hill, is outstanding. Whatever side of the hotel your room is located you have an unobstructed view of the Alps. Magnificent. The rooms are very nice and clean. The bathroom is also very clean and, for Switzerland, nice size. The service at the hotel is exceptional. The food at the restaurant is first class and the service the same (Robert a trained waiter of the old school).

Very beautiful and cosy Hotel-Restaurant, with a diverseand delicious menu. The food portions are out of this world. A definate must-see with a breathtaking view. To top it all I got to enjoy sitting on the longest bench in the world with a length of around 40 metres.

Hotel with a view... and service!

Longest Bench Ever

This Hotel and Restaurant, placed at a beautiful spot on the rolling hills of the Emmental, is the perfect place to get away from a too busy lifestyle. Here it is quiet, relaxing, slow moving and with the most gorgeous sight to the Alps with the eternal snow. Many of their guest rooms have a perfect sight towards the mountains. In front of the hotel, you find the playground for the children and a long long tree cut into a bench to sit on. I promise - any leg length will sit comfortably on this one! While sitting on another bench, we relaxed in the spring sun and listen to the hundreds of bees humming in the trees. Between the meals, it is nice to go walking, be it for half an hour or all day and you take lunch sandwiches along. Their meal portions are big and very typical for the Emmental. A relaxing place for a couple, family reunion up to 220 participants. If you travel here by care you better know the regulations on how to drive in the mountains, if you travel by public transportation, make sure you don’t miss the bus, because the come by rather seldom.
