Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night during September. The house is beautifully decorated, super clean and has fantastic jungle views towards the back of the property which can be admired from one of the balconies. Dilhara, the host, is an amazing and kind lady and made us feel at home throughout our stay. Our breakfast was fantastic and filled us up for the whole day: fruit, avocado, roti, toast, vegetable omlete and coffee. Also, Dilharas cats, kittens and dogs are adorable and friendly. One thing to mention is that booking.com states the property is located in Ella however it took us around 10 mins in a tuk to get to and from the guesthouse to Ella's main strip of bars and restaurants. This cost 500 rupee each way.

Wonderful stay

Thinking it was just around the corner from the train we walked to this place which was straight up. After leaving our bags behind I found a staff member Putham, and he graciously brought them the rest of the way to our room. Both Putham and Nianca were excellent hosts. Breakfast was delicious and always served with a smile. The view from our room made it worth the hike.

Great view and wonderful staff

We stayed for 3 nights in this very quiet, comfortable, cozy Inn. The staff are very friendly, helpful and fun. They got us a scooter to rent, pointed out places we should visit, and were always ready to help us if we needed anything. Good Sri Lankan breakfast too.

Comfortable, Friendly Plact to Stay

We arrived at the Ella Highest Inn exactely the day when was starting  the new management of the smart and very kind young men Pathum. So we were invited at the lounching ceremony and informal feast. Far from the crowded main road, situated in a hill with tea plantations in front, we enjoyed very mutch this location and the included breackfast with Sri Lanka and Continental items. The Ella Highest Inn is very near to the Railway Station and the bus stop. The Internet connection was very efficient and the human environment very pleasent.

Really enjoyed having local breakfast in the living room with floor to ceiling windows, where you can overlook the trees and sky. The entire inn is very spacious, with an open kitchen as well. Bedroom met our standards, though there is no hot water shower in the budget room (wasn't indicated in the booking) but they were nice enough to offer us to use the common shower outside which was also pretty clean. Btw the pictures here are outdated, the inn looks much lovelier now :p 

Lovely place to relax

It's a nice and clean hostel close to the train station (the road has quit a slope, but otherwise a tuktuk is a cheap and easy option too). The rooms are clean with balcony, warm water showers and mosquito net. The breakfast intercontinental and the staff very very friendly. When I was there it rained a lot and then there was even the option to bring the dinner to the room so I didn't had to leave. Would definitely recommend it if your looking for a basic good located place to stay.

This place is not suitable at all for the solo female travellers.horrible place.doors dosent close and the owner when he talk is doing sexual preposal to his clients.i do not recommand at all this place.even the room is not clean with a bad smell

A place to avoid

Our first impression was good until the hot water didnt work and the power went off multiple times. We also forgot something at the hotel. We called one hour after check out and the hotel promised to send us the package. We spent our whole Sri Lanka trip trying to organize this until we found it as an hopeless project and we didnt get our things back. We wouldnt recommend this hotel. The location of the hotel is good though.
