Sanron Guest House - Ella

We spent 3 nights there in the middle of August and although it is "a little bit far" (around 20 minutes walk) to the city center it is probably the most beautiful place to live in Ella. In Ella city center there are only pubs and guest houses next to each other - Sanron guest House is located at the top of a quite small housing estate. The view is overwhelming, the terrace and garden lovely with lots of fruits and herbal plants and good for relaxing. Our room was quite clean. We got to know Thissa, the owner, as a man who is very friendly, honest and helpful. The conversation with him was fun, very interesting and thought-provoking - we really enjoyed it! His caretaker doesn't speak much English, but communication works somehow! ;) He's a wonderful cook (preparing typical Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner) and he is very attentive. Every time we returned to the guest house he prepared some tea and sometimes fruits out of the garden. To put it in a nutshell: We warmly recommend this wonderful place!!
