Fortaleza

We stayed at Fortaleza on the last night of our 10 night trip to Sri Lanka for our honeymoon last year. The Fortaleza is made up a few hotels on various streets inside the Galle walls we stayed in the main building in one of the 4 rooms they have there. We were given a warm welcome by the staff on arrival and they were able to help us with our every need for the one night we were there. The room itself was huge with beautiful decor, a huge and very comfortable 4 poster bed, the bathroom was small but had everything you need with a lovely waterfall shower. We also decided to have dinner in the restaurant which was a little bit pricey compared to other places but the food was absolutely delicious and was well worth the money we thoroughly enjoyed it. After a restful nights sleep the same can be said for the breakfast which was delicious. You got to chose one cooked to order item off the menu and then choice of tea and coffee along with some fresh fruit. Overall a wonderful stay in this beautiful Gem of a hotel the best in Galle.
