I had a wonderful stay at Ashok Hotel in Anuradhapura. The staff is incredibly helpful and always strives to provide the best service possible. The hotel has a calm and serene atmosphere, which is quite different from other hotels. The environment is beautiful, and the rooms are exceptionally clean, including the bed sheets and bathrooms. The restaurant area is also very calm, making for a pleasant dining experience. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of service and amenities provided. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Anuradhapura.

We dropped in for breakfast on the recommendation of a friend locally. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and generous. Talking with the owner, it’s clear he values the hotel’s traditions and it’s one of the oldest hotels in the area. It’s very popular with local businessmen too. The views of the Nurewa Wewa from the room balconies are delightful too. 

This is more of a budget motel kind of a place. The rooms are pretty huge and the management was quite alright. Cleanliness wise it was pretty average but I'd recommend you to have your own towels and personal sanitary items if you are planning for a stay since I did not feel comfortable with how they looked. The meals were very average with the quantity and the quality but it was worth for the money you pay. 
The best feature is the fact it's located close to the sites which Anuradhapura is famous for making it quite a good place for the travelers who are on a budget. The motel needs renovation and it'll be better if they can have an increase in the number of staff members.

Great breakfast and great views! 

Worth for the money and for those who aren't planning to stay at the hotel all day

The rooms were clean. Bathrooms were clean because of poor maintenance it doesn't seem like it is clean. For sure they need renovation. We didn't stay for a long time.. We had A/C room and had to go to the reception three times to turn it on from the system. Overall this an okay place. Nothing much wow about it.

Big rooms with balcony!

Hotel was dirty and service was not so good. AC is not working . also we found Centipedes inside the bathroom. worst hotel ever. Photos on hotel description may be 2 to 3 years older compare to todays situation. WIFI is not working.
