I was here with friends in August 2019, A few positive points, many negative points. Positive friendly staff, quick check-in and check-out, because the table in front of the room with drawer. Negative... 3 km from alona beach and to get there you need either the bike (when we got there we had finished them) or the tricycle...(takes 100m ahead. Not very clean rooms, wall conditioner with cracks where millions of mosquitoes entered, laundry rack not fixed, main lamp burned, given to the staff and after 3 gg not replaced, shower not replaced the first night and I went to the bathroom... the next night ok... They didn't change the sheets at the time, kept the pool but not well... so I had to ask you if I had to check the room but we had to pay more than 500 g of the weight conditioner... but we had to check out the 500 g of the room but we didn't have much of the 500 g of the weight conditioner option but at the end of the check-out we had to say we had no more than 500 g of the 500 g of the weight

Think about it... very well!

Location is far from the main attraction or beach (Alona). Air-condition has no switch on and off. It does work and cool the room but I have to unplug the AC to turn it off. It's risky but also a waste of power. Otherwise the place is quiet and safe, don't expect food service in this hotel, you have to buy food outside or take out from Alona beach if you happen to be there. Outside there's local selling barbecue & vegetable soup at night time, they only cook your BBQ when you buy. But don't  expect great food here on the street, it's mostly for locals. There you have it, an honest review.

Far from main attraction in Alona Beach.

This was a nice place to stay, the room was spacious and the bed was comfy. Staff was really helpful, they even tracked down a needle and tread for me to do a bit of clothing repairs. Great value for the price. 

Great little place to stay

Got a very different room to what the pictures displayed online. We were placed in an annex building instead of around the pool area as planned. The pool was undergoing maintenance so not able to swim for the 5 nights we were there.

There is nothing terribly wrong with this property so if it’s the only option in your price range go for it. But I wouldn’t stay here again- nothing nice about it to be honest and so if there is another option in the same price, chose the other option.

Book somewhere else if you can

ATTENTION! The hotel's only tap is salt water with a strong hydrogen sulfide smell! It smells like hydrogen sulfide in the room. Then you feel salt right on your skin. The internet is not stable. It's not convenient, far from the beaches.

Not what I expected.

We booked at Isla Divina attracted by the photos showing a simple but nice structure and provided with all the amenities... Unfortunately it's not exactly like this: 1) The air-conditioned rooms delux are not in front of the pool but in a two-story building behind the standard rooms and overlook a garden. 2) The garden of the building delux was used as a construction site as they were remaking the roof of the standard cottages... where the rest burns the debris of the old roof and we want to burn it all day long. 3) The air-conditioned room has a small closet... no table, no furniture except a table with a bathtub for the bed, nothing else.

Attracted by photos that show a simple but pretty structure. Too bad it's not like that.

The first impression of entering the site inspires tranquility, we received a very nice young girl and she took us to our mini-apartment, the small resort is pretty, but the room was too small, and the bathroom was tiny and being so close together we all listened quite a bit to the neighbor from the wing or across the street, we were unlucky to have a few Frenchmen by our side who had little respect for the others who were staying, someone from the resort could have gone to tell them something, but no, we're playing with each other) between them and the finished collar of the bed we've just rested!

Descending slightly.

Isla Divina, it's not exactly so divine. It's convenient enough to get to Alona beach, with a scooter (you can rent it from them for 400 ph a day) in 5m you're on the beach but as a general quality of the structure there's more to see. We had booked the bungalow with the fan in front of the small pool, but the room was really microscopic and in two people with backpacks, you couldn't move. We were just lucky we saw that the bathroom water didn't work and so they gave us another room upstairs in the back (expensive room but at the same price as the smaller one).

Not too Goddess

Room very small and infested with ants. Room impossible to cool with the ceiling fan so nights are hard. No hot water. Maintenance on demand only. No on-site dining except for breakfast (which I recommend you go eat at the Linaw Beach Resort 5 minutes walk away). Rented scooters are in very poor condition, the pool (or rather the pool) is rather clean but the water is so hot that it's not terrible to bathe in it. The owner has a poor little female monkey who is 1 year old (she bought it at a market) and who is locked up day and night in a cage under a terraced animal.

Not too bad.

The highlight of this place is the calmness! Away from Panglao Beach but very accessible (5 minutes by motorbike/taxi or 30 minutes by foot). There is Danao Beach 5 minutes away which is great for cooling down with few people. The hotel pool also allows you to drop the temperature when you need it! The rooms are spacious, there is hot water! The only small point to improve would be the humidity of the room (at least the one we had)
