Beautiful place to stay beach veiws are gorgeous lovely staff very clean and tidy diffently will book again

The apartment was in a great location and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Very lovely waterfront apartment with everything you could need. Bathroom is a little small but otherwise it’s perfect.

A perfect place to stay when visiting Kaikoura, just across the road from the beach and walking distance to the shops and restaurants in town.Looking forward to coming back for longer next time.

If you want to be close to the beach to catch the sunrise over the South Pacific, this is the perfect spot. The apartment had every detail to make our stay easy and relaxed. The staff is lovely too!

Set in a beautiful location across from the beach, the convenience of a washing machine is super handy

We loved this overnight spot. Location was perfect, beautiful ocean views, roomy, great amenities and bed was super comfy!  Shower was fabulous!  A definite must!

Awesome location loved the kitchenette, very clean & modern.

Good sized apartment with comfy beds. Straight across the road from the beach. Needed to be on the balcony to see the ocean being tucked in the corner at furtherest end of motels but weather was nice so we did get to use this.Well equipped kitchen. Beware of ants - bench covered in the time it took for us to eat our dinner. Luckily we brought all our food in a chilly bin so used that to keep our food in. Staff were quick to bring any spray when asked.The bath had pubic hairs in it when we arrived so obviously had not been cleaned between visitors. Owner apologised the following day as they had been on a day off which was appreciated.

The property was clean, and nicely decorated, the pots were small and pan had seen better days. I had a reservation for Oceanview ground floor and I ended up with a partial view second floor, I’m not sure why the discrepancy in the reservation, we were just told that’s all they had. Grateful that they had a room, could’ve been worse.

Came to Kaikoura on a tour and we stayed here for two nights. Polly was a fantastic host and was incredibly helpful with our questions and little requests. The apartments are really well equipped with anything you'd need while staying. I was really impressed as it was very different to what we stayed in for the rest of the tour and we all enjoyed the change with the options to cook for ourselves.

Great location, chilled out vibes

I'm a leisure traveller and usually make it a point to stay at the best accommodation i can find. This visit to Kaikoura however i was there for a very brief stay (just one night) so i decided to be a bit frugal. I was pleasantly surprised when went there. The property was right next to the beach, had ample space and was well managed. But the highlight of the trip was the hospitality. The hosts were super kind and friendly, and put up with my capricious requests at odd hours with warmth and generosity of spirit. Was it the fanciest place I've lived it? No. It is purposefully comfortable without being extravagant, and does show its age in a few places (i did pick the economy room though so it may have had something to do with it), but i slept well, had nice peaceful surroundings and everything was walkable. You don't go to Kaikoura to see the walls of a hotel room. You go there to enjoy breathtaking scenery and warmth of its people and this place delivered both!

The service here was excellent and the unit was very clean with everything we needed.  I had someone with me that had mobility issues so phoned ahead to check the unit would work, they were incredibly friendly and understanding of our siutation.  Everything was ready for our arrival - including a ramp to the apartment door for ease of the person with a walker.  They offered a special seat and a shower chair if needed.  The apartment was warm and I enjoyed the space and the fact it was uncluttered.  The beds were very comfortable.  Appreciated little things like a 4 point plug in the bedroom for charging devices etc.  Nice to have a dishwasher as well.  It was good being just accross the road from a great walkway along the beach.  The only (small) thing was that our bathroom didn't have a fan - I was told bathrooms are all being upgraded so fans will be included in the near future.   Great location, comfortable beds, very clean, fantastic service.  Will be back!

Excellent service

Fantastic apartment and phenomenal views.  We were in an upstairs 2 bedroom so we had all the views.  The apartment was really spacious, clean and well appointed.  I hate being stuck in a studio room so having the space to spread out was wonderful.  We came in on a misty day so didn’t really appreciate the views that Kaikoura has but we woke to a crystal clear morning and, wowsers, there are snow capped mountains to the left and a wild surf beach to the right.  Having Sky was great too - got to watch the All Black (lose) and lots of Olympics.  Shower pressure was the best and the bed was super comfy.  Double glazing means you don’t really hear the road noise - it is quite a busy road.  We walked into town the first night and walked about 50 metres down the road, to Hiku, the second night.  Kaikoura is a very cool town where we had some blasts from the past - totally dreamy fish and chips, crayfish at the side of the road and a chocolate dipped ice cream.  No fast food in this town which is what made us want to visit in the first place.  Everybody’s really friendly too - the locals really make you feel,welcome.

Totally Fabulous - Would Definitely Stay Again

Our unit was on the ground floor, and the patio was gated which was really nice for the young kids. The unit was very comfortable, warm and adequately equipped. The two bedrooms were separated by a large clean bathroom which had good amenities. We were surprised to find a washer dryer in one of the kitchen cabinets (with laundry powder provided!) It was not possible to watch the sunrise from our patio as the patio faces the carpark, but you can certainly walk out a very short distance to the beach/sea. I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Kaikoura (which I will!)

Amazing stay

I can not recommend these apartments enough! Upon arrival - which was late in the day & a bit cool we found the apartment ready and unlocked for us with lights on and heat pump on - very welcoming. A good supply of all condiments and handy to have a small milk in the fridge too. Rooms were very tidy and presentable, extremely clean too! Nice comfortable outdoor furniture to relax in the afternoon sun. The manager here and her staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Definitely will be back!! 

Memorable Stay

One of my pet hates about accommodation these days is a mean approach to tea, coffee, etc supplies. Two tea bags for 2 people, staying almost 24 hours, for example. Not so the Kaikoura Waterfront.
This motel was very well stocked with everything, plus we had plenty of cutlery, crockery, etc. All this added up to a satisfying start to a pleasant one night stay.
The motel is ideally situated, clean, new, and well appointed. In spite of having a unit near the road, we found the noise levels totally fine.
Good value for money too. Highly recommended.

Ideal modern motel on the waterfront 

We loved the area and our stay here. If we happen to be in Kaikoura again we would definitely choose to stay here again. It was warm, comfortable, quiet, helpful, responsive and beautiful views from our front windows of the landscape. There was easy parking, check-in and check out. The staff even helped me spray off the mud from my shoes and socks when returning from a run on the peninsula loop. Also, there are restaurants within walking distance as well. A great stay for winter and I'm sure for any other season as well.
