Great option for a local, relaxed stay in Zabljak. The house is a 10 minute walk from the city center which allows you to enjoy a quiet evening next to the beautiful hillside. After a long day of outdoor activities, get a bottle of wine from the grocery store then enjoy a traditional, homemade Montenegrin meal (cheaper than the restaurants) to round out the perfect mountain evening. I took them up on their offer on touring the best hidden local gems along the mountain range. Definitely worth it!

The guesthouse is about 10 minutes walk from the main part of this small town, down a quiet street with no disruption from the traffic.  There are three rooms (a double, 1 triple, and a twin) on the second floor of the property, each sharing a single bathroom.  We were the only guests during our recent stay in the low season so we had the place to ourselves.  There is also a full apartment on the ground floor, which we didn't see.  The rooms are basic, but comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious with great water pressure in the shower.

On arrival, we were warmly greeted by Radovan and his wife.  He enthusiastically showed us to our room and then invited us downstairs to his flat for some coffee and rakija (the local brandy) with him and his wife.  We were told of some options for activities during our stay and also that they could prepare meals for us should we wish.  Radovan then invited us to join them at the nearby lake for a walk, so we hopped into his car and went on a great little adventure.  He pointed out some places in town for us to eat or buy groceries.

The following day, a hearty breakfast was prepared for us and we then joined Radovan's jeep tour of the area.  He had prepared a nice itinerary for us and showed us some beautiful vistas in the surrounding mountainside.  Despite the heavy rain, we still had an enjoyable time because of his companionship and passion.  That evening, we ate dinner at the home too, shared some wine and more rakija, and had a really nice conversation with them.  

If you're looking for a hotel experience with plush furnishings, television, and buffets, this is not the place for you.  If instead you're looking to meet a local family who will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and treat you as though you're one of their own, then you definitely want to stay here!

My friend and I stayed two nights at this guesthouse. The rooms are in a house where also the couple who owns the house live, and they are very, very friendly and welcoming. We had a vegetarian breakfast which the lady of the house prepared and it was the best breakfast we had our whole trip. There are also cooking facilities and a common room for guests, so the hosting couple have their own part of the house. 

The only downside was that the hosting couple didn't seems to speak english at all, so we couldn't understand any of all the information the husband of the household tried to give us, nor the very friendly conversations he had with us. Their son was available over phone and whatsapp though, and spoke perfect english. An improvement could have been to have a couple of hooks or hangers in the room, to put wet towels etc. Otherwise, all great.

I spend to nights there and the best part was the family that all the time were so friendly offering us coffee or rackia (homemade). The rooms are nice and spacious and comfortables. It is only 6 minutes away the bus station. The only downsized is the kitchen, it doesn't have too much, more than a fridge plates and the stove. But nothing to hit the water, cups, or a tap for water. But you can also ask the family for food as they prepare it for you for a price.
