Incredible place we stayed 3 weeks in unit E401 , huge 3 bedroom condo with 4 decks overlooking the ocean and city of Lapaz.  We felt right at home, everything we needed from gourmet kitchen to beach towels.  Short water taxi ride from marina to gated community.  Host was eager and ready to recommend tours, local activities, restaurants and fishing trips.  We will be back.  Thanks Brad

We just enjoyed a month of golf at the Paraiso golf course.  This golf course has so many pluses but the biggest enjoyment we get is to see our “golf family” Marco (manager) and his staff (Maria, Mariana and Jacinto).  These people make the experience of golf a memorable time.  They always have a warm smile, such a positive attitude and they work hard to ensure we enjoy our golf experience.  Marco, the manager, works hard to keep his staff and golfers well organized.  This is our fourth time in La Paz and really, this golf course is a best-kept secret.  Marco continues to display professionalism, dedication, and enthusiasm.  To golf the course is very relaxing but there are many challenges on the greens and fairways.  The greens and tee boxes are always well kept and there are well placed sand traps and of course, water hazards.  The maintenance staff are constantly working hard to keep the course in great shape. There are beautiful ocean view holes, lots of birds, flowers and cacti.  The golf palapa restaurant offers a great lunch menu operated by Ronnie and Magdalene.  The cook (Maria) does a great job with a morning breakfast, lunch and even special event suppers.  In our opinion, Johnny makes the best margarita in La Paz.  You can even call them while you are golfing and they will have your drinks or food ready at the turn.  The service at Paraiso golf is nothing but first class.  Everyone there deserves the utmost recognition and respect, as they definitely know what customer service is all about.  Thank you Marco for all that you do to make the Paraiso Golf Course our favorite golf experience anywhere.

Stayed here for four nights after flying in to SJD.   Didn't really know what to expect as this was not an all inclusive or timeshare rental but a find off of VRBO.  Our unit B203 was absolutely beautiful.  Two bedrooms (2 queens & 1 king), 3 full bathrooms, full kitchen and dining/living area with three huge terraces overlooking the grounds, pool and the bay.  The property is on a peninsula but is generally reached by a ferry that runs regularly from the property to the marina; a short 8-10 min. boat ride.   There is a beautiful infinity pool, golf course, pool and pool bar/restaurant that I will write about separately but is really wonderful.   A make shift convenience store on site has limited items but things like water, beverages, some staples, toiletries etc.  There are golf carts for rent and bicycles to use free of charge.  These would be used to get from your residence to the ferry dock which is about a half a mile from the condo units.  Beach is nice and swimmable but very shallow for long distance and light waves.  Since this was a regular rental we didn't have maid service which was fine for us only being there four nights.  Our unit also had a compact washer and dryer as well.  The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful particularly Brenda with SeaSide Rentals and the shuttle drivers Nico and Jose The other owners are very welcoming and pleasant.  La Paz is a beautiful non-touristy Mexican city.  Prices are extremely reasonable.   If you want glitz and nightlife stay in Cabo.  But if you want luxury with peace and quiet this is your place. Really pleased with our choice and definitely would return in the future.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo in building D for a month.  This development is located a short boat ride (approx. 8 minutes) away from downtown La Paz.  As a result you have the best of both worlds.  A quiet environment at the condo and all the action of town when you wish.  The water taxi is free and runs like clockwork every 30 minutes.  The bar/restaurant is okay, but a little pricey.  There are some very good restaurants across the water so that is not a problem.  There is also a restaurant at the gold course that has pretty decent food.  My partner enjoyed the gold course but indicated that it was a challenging course.  Our unit had everything we needed and the staff were very attentive and whenever I needed anything they responded promptly.  The pool is great and there are 3 large hot tubs that are heated at different temperatures.  Unfortunately the weather was not always the best.  All the locals were commenting on how unusual the weather was.

Beautiful Property with Wonderful Staff

Paraiso Del Mar is a lovely little resort set of condos and villas on the peninsula just across the water from the town of La Paz.   We shuttled from the condos where we stayed to the ferry which took us to La Paz when we wanted to go or to the boat we hired to pick us up to scuba dive.  The shuttle and ferry were great and convenient. Manny in particular was very friendly and helpful.  The views were very pretty and the guests around the pool were very nice. The pool was so cold it was only used for a quick dip here and there to shock the system.  We were able to get drinks and food from the pool bar pretty easily, although the wait staff didn't seem overly interested in doing pool side service.  We enjoyed lovely walks along the beach and you could definitely walk forever...  The water down by the beach to rinse your sandy feet and shoes worked some days and other days it was shut off, which led us to a pretty messy condo. There were paddle boards and kayaks available, but no paddles unless you were lucky enough to catch someone in the office to borrow one if you left a deposit.  The office people were not there most of the time when we stopped by, even though the hours said they would were open.  There is a volleyball net, but no volleyball - unless you buy one - but no pump, so don't count on that. We were told security may have had a pump...  Same issue with Pickle ball and tennis.  We were told we need our own equipment. So. that was kind of disappointing because I thought we would be able to use all these amenities and weren't able to. We heard from people that the food at the restaurant was quite good, but did not stay for dinner.  The hot tubs are warm, not hot, but still nice to sit in for a bit.  I think the area is lovely and would consider staying again; however, I'd like to figure out using the amenities.  And it seems silly to have everyone have their own paddles, volleyball, pickle ball...  but regardless, if you are heading there, bring your own or see if the condo you are staying in has any of the items you need!
