The hotel is beautiful inside the courtyard. The staff was friendly and the beds are comfortable. Comitan is a lovely town. The room was a little musty but they provided us with a fan straight away.

For a very rich and somewhat traditional Comitán breakfast, this place is excellent, as they have the famous chicharrón de hebra, accompanied by beans, green sauce eggs, and picaditas with butter.

We stayed here overnight on a mini tour of the Yucatán .  The hotel was nothing special but cool and clean.  I liked that there was a mini kitchen in the room.  We were tired so decided to have our evening meal in the hotel was as real disappointment.  I had ordered fish but it was old, dry and tough.  I couldn't eat it.  The other half had beef but said it was really tough.

The room was OK but the food horrible

A cozy place, a few blocks from downtown, comfortable beds and a regular price stay, with all the services, plus no extra cost, a restaurant that to be a type of cafeteria doesn't have to be staying to go there, really is a nice place with rich dishes ready at the moment, free parking 24 hours a day while you stay at the hotel, friendly and serviced staff, a recommendation for those who want to have a starting point to other beautiful places to visit, hope to enjoy your stay and your deserved and comfortable vacation.

A small place to relax and fill yourself with our customs.

We stayed with the family, on the recommendation of third parties, has a nice image but poor service from the receptionists as they do not solve anything, there is no hot water, inside the rooms there are mosquitoes, very bad experience.

Pesimo service is a very popular service.

Whenever we go to Comitán, we host our groups in this hotel and our guests are delighted. It is a typical hotel with comfortable, pleasant and clean facilities. The staff is very attentive. The breakfast is very rich, especially the French bread and the tamales de chipilin.

Excellent option for your stay.

The hotel POSADA EL CASTELLANO that we paid 530 pesos for a night is a good colonial-style hotel that has beautiful rooms with solid wood furniture, arranged on two floors around a few patios with wooden columns.

Good choice.

It is located a few blocks from downtown, it is small but comfortable, the rooms have TV and phone. Recommended. Located in front of the lions club. good hosts. comfortable beds Good attention.

Hotel of the Colonial type

At first I was hesitant about the comments, but I'm very surprised.It's worth staying here.I recommend it.Just a little detail.The bathroom is a little slippery.I recommend entering with a squeeze or something so as not to have a chance.The rest is super luxurious.

A great place.

My husband and I just spent two weeks in the State of Chiapas, MX. We had reserved a room for 2 nights at the Posada el Castellano in Comitan through Booking.com.  We arrived late in the afternoon, tired and actually sick from Montezuma's revenge, to find the street in front of the hotel completely torn up with men replacing a water line or sewer line or something.  Picks and shovels, jack hammers, the works.  We had to park blocks away and approach on foot.  Inside the hotel, the lady at the desk was wearing a dust mask over her nose and mouth.  Half of the interior courtyard was covered in tarps.  Workmen were chipping away at tile work inside the hotel.  We needed to rest, and took our room on the first floor (one level up from street level).  The interior construction work went on until after 6PM and the street construction continued until about 9PM.  We had no hot water in our room.  The manager said it would be fixed at some point, but it never was.  Next morning, the interior construction commenced at 7:30AM.  We still had no hot water and now, no water pressure.  At this point, we found another hotel, and checked out of Posada El Castellano.  
The hotel is really very nice, just not during the winter of 2015.  Booking.com assessed a cancellation fee on the day we vacated, which we are currently disputing.
