Hotel on the banks of the Waterfall! Very nice bed. Small wooden bungalows on cute pilots. Very quiet. Small restaurant at the right price, and breakfast included in the room rate. Smiling home. Quite clean room, no air conditioning(simple fan...it was hot there... bathroom with insects (but we pay the price of living in nature) and a little hard to find(the GPS point bad...don't hesitate to ask and go up the road) And 2 elephants on the ground....for you to judge

Perfect location

One night in a couple, arriving around 19:00 - night. The environment of this hotel in the middle of nature is very pleasant, by the river. For everything else, forget it. The facilities are almost abandoned. The access to our room in a bungalow a hundred meters from the main building, without light, was broken, stairs broke. Many of the room's equipment was broken or not working (door lock, toilet, water net under the shower, Wifi and TV suites...) Fast food menu and yet the first 2 Lao dishes requested were canceled by the kitchen a few minutes after the opening (no food available). And we saw that this kind of closing in the corner of the dining room has become quite difficult.

Victim of Covid?

We had a bungalow, with neighbors - who without being loud we could hear them well (it must have been like us, the door to the bathroom was grinding). It's a shame because it wouldn't take much, we would have to fix things up. The door to our bathroom (the huge bathroom) was grinding (horrible) the door to the room (idem at our neighbors), our evacuation was just clogged up... There was a bottle in the room but it was running in the back... I was also a small terrace owner after my bathroom was broken, I was insisting on not putting the branches here because they didn't want to go under the tree... but they didn't want to go under the tree, so I found a very nice place to go to the bathroom.

Lodge aging

Big wooden room in a bungalow with three other rooms. The bunk bed is good, bathroom that would need a good paint job. No climate but a fan. It wasn't too hot. A mosquito net we didn't use. The frame is beautiful. The elephant bath is spectacular but these two poor animals are chained the rest of the day.

Old Lodge and Tristounet

Super lodge by the river. The rooms are spacious with a large bathroom and good bedding. Only the mosquito bed is not  waterproof . At the restaurant level nothing to say, there are local dishes well cooked at affordable prices.

We spent a day and a night at Tadlo Lodge the place is paradise, the bengalows in a park by the river are nickel.The rooms are spacious the clean bedding the bathroom is huge with shower the panoramic restaurant overlooking the river serves very rich dishes, and good the manager speaks a good French and gets into four so that everything goes well what a pleasure to see two elephants swim in the river in the morning and evening bathing in the waterfalls, trekking, ethnicity visit everything is there to spend good times in the nature to highly recommend

A Refuge of Peace

It is a pity that the bridge connecting the bungalows to the village is destroyed by rising water, hopefully the reconstruction is part of their project.

Beautiful place at the top of the waterfalls. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Large, very nice terrace. Bungalows in the middle of a luxurious garden. Generous and varied lunch on the terrace of the restaurant overlooking the river and the elephant bath. Satisfactory restaurant. Attention: although it is stated that the bank card is accepted, everything is done to get you paid in cash... We did not give in to the owner who wanted to lend us bicycles to go to the ATM in the village!! Otherwise, pleasant and helpful staff.

A Paradise Place

As the sun went down we had to look for a hotel. The Tadlo Lodge looked nice from the street so we went there. Unfortunately the good impression soon faded away: Besides the manager nobody of the staff speaks any English. After a long wait the manager confirmed that they had vacancies (although from the approx. 10 cabins, only 3 were occupied) and one of the mopish employees showed us the cabin which stands in a small forest. The dinner in the hotel's restaurant was okay. On the next day we spotted two very sad-looking elephants chained to trees in the hotel's park. If we knew that they promote elephant riding we would have avoided this place.

I strongly recommend the tadlo lodge: we gave the credit card number to book via Booking.com (compulsory). We stayed two nights we paid the 100 dollars we owed (of course we have the receipt) and after two days we realized that they also credited us one night on the credit card. We contacted Booking.com by sending a copy of the paid invoice but we didn't get any feed back.
