Just spent a few days. The manager is very good and friendly. The hotel is quite away from the town centre, so you really have no option but to use motorbikes. The room was very spacious, bathroom is quite basic.

Do need more substantial locks on the doors, but security is at the front door and seemed to be ok

The real problem is the amount of noise early in the morning. The dreadful restaurant starts making far too much noise from 7ish……. Then the cleaners start banging around

Kitchen facilities  terrible unsafe cooker no kettle kitchen ware disgusting very primative fridge fitted for scrap as was microwave  unsafe  and very unhygienic  bathroom  dangerous  shower  in middle so floor left wet and slippery breakfast  meager choice take it or leave it only one type juice poor food staff didn't replenish  paid for but nothing to eat  bed very hard 

No comfort 

Prime comfort boasts of a lovely pool with a decent environment coupled with a peaceful neighbourhood. I can't really tell much about the food and hospitality however if you are lookikg for a cool pool side relaxation spot then i can recommend here to you.

the configuration of the hotel means noise from the bar and restaurant disturbs most rooms - ehoes . the bar often open till late (0400) and breakfast team starting at 0600 means you can expect disturbed sleep ... recommended to take ear plugs . the rooms quite good but there appears no management on site and complaints are ignored ..shame really but still good value

Noisy but still value

I checked into this hotel on Sunday, 16th Sept. from the appearance, the place is supper awesome! (note that this is not the place I had earlier planned to put up in but ones you get there it would be too hard to resist). 

The apartments are extra clean apart from the stuffiness which  I guess was as a result of not having the rooms naturally aerated after cleaning: for some reason this guys believe in ACs rather than just opening the windows for natural aeration. The breakfast was great as well. The pool looked clean but unfortunately we did not get the opportunity to swim in it since we had been informed that the water was treated in the evening  and that was the only time we could get after a busy day.

On the fifth night thieves accessed our apartment(sharing with colleague) and stole while we were asleep, my phone and some cash was stolen. We reported immediately  we discovered what had happened. later on we learnt that the occupant of the apartment next to us had also been a victim.

The Hotel's receptionist/customer care assured us that the Hotel would refund cash that had been stolen as well as replace the phone with another of the exact same specifications. On returning in the evening the receptionist (we later learnt that her name is Felistus) deliberately tried to avoid me without giving any feedback on how far the compensation process by the hotel had gone. after dumping me in the managers office(who apparently had no clue on how far the case had been handled claiming that we had not involved him from the beginning-as if we even knew that he was the manager in the first place!!! ) she managed to snick off and left for the day without providing any info.

Long story short, the hotel replaced the phone the following day after taking us in circles, we believe they were buying time knowing that we were not residence of Mtwapa hoping that we would give up and eventually leave. However the sum of money(Kshs. 1,700) was not refunded. at some point the manager had gotten so arrogant and had even mentioned that since we had chosen to go back to the Police then we would not get the phone.

To say the least, the management of the hotel was less concerned and unapologetic. I'm glad that we were unharmed since the thieves stole and left my worst fear was rape or who knows they may have been harmed and would have been killed if at all we woke up while they were still in the apartment. 

Honestly this is a great facility, and it would be even better if only security was heightened and had a workforce that had their clients interests at heart!

Terrible hotel experience

We where surprised. This was the first hotel in Mombasa that did not try to raise the price we booked at booking.com. I like the rooms. You get a living room with two beds and kitchen and a bedroom with a king size beds. So lots of space. But, no wifi at the room as advertised. As I need to work 2 hours per day that makes me lose money every day, because in lobby i can't work with all that people having the same problem. The manager told me i should check with my devices. That really made me mad because he just wanted to give the problem back to me. I told him he can easily fix the problem by installing an signal amplifying router on each floor. Cost 30 dollar per router. That did not interest him. The rest of the people where helpful. But we remarked that every day there was loose money missing. So my girlfriend placed 1000 ksh intentionally in a pocket, next day the money wasn't there any more. The day before we left i took my wallet with my swiss francs out of my luggage. The day we left there where 500 SFR about 500 dollars missing. We remarqued it only when we where at the new place. We phoned. The girls said they will investigate. We rushed to the hotel. This dumb manager was there again and he told me we should have met the money into the rooms save and we should have reported the theft right away. Ok, problem back to me. I wanted to tell him a customer is not the fool that bothers him it is the one that makes the hotel running. Instead i told him I know there is a difference between liability and responsibility and that the only thing I want is the money back from the cleaning lady. She took 3 days of and at the moment at the hairdresser so she can't come in. But he made come all other cleaning ladies. What a joke. I told them that i do not accuse them and that i have been to many hotels in the world and i have never been stolen because cleaning personal is very honest because even if i have money open on the table there never was missing a dime and that i have great respect because temptation is big.  But our cleaning lady was not good, she even searched for money. So we went home. The manager told us he will investigate. A week later when we called he said, there was no evidence that money was stolen. What a joke.  One can not win a dispute with a customer one can only lose a customer. I do not think he knows what a customer is.

In situ at moment. Cant wait to leave. In Kenya for a wedding so staying close to family. 1. Because of mobility, booked ground/1st floor. Given 3rd floor,  were moved aftercomplaining about the toilet. Each flush leaked the waste matter into the wet room. 2. Restaurant service. 1 1/2 hour waitmonly to be served cold.
3. New room had no mosquito net over one bed... arrived 4 days later, and its too small for the bed.
4. Started with 4, yesterday none, today 2 handtowels.
5. TV in room has 2 pin plug attached, sockets are 3 pin like UK, when asked for adaptor, they had no idea what i wanted one for.
6. No mirror in bathroom. Had to go and buy one myself.
7. No coathangers. Asked. Ended up buying those too.
8. Guest accomodation building gated at night, for security, and padlocked. Hate to think what would happen in an emergency with no way of contacting reception, not that anyone would be there.
I could go on. This is supposed to be a happy occasion, but this place has really dragged us down.

Dont bother

Me and my sister were found with a rude shock after having booked this hotel and paid 60 percent deposit which they demanded to be paid before arrival. Nothing works the rooms are damp,the rooms smells like a sewer,and we're were very disappointed.  We had to check out the following morning after having raised the issues we found with the management. To even a more rude shock breakfast was scary, the sausages seemed like they were from a donkey or dog meat because that was certainly not beef or pork!!!!
They declined to refund any of our deposit yet we only spent a night. That is how they con people by asking too much deposit since they know upon arrival you will not find anything that they claim to have. The management is very rude and argue with clients. Our experience there was horrifying. BE WARNED!!!!!
