81 reviewsThis might be one of my favourite hotels i've ever stayed in. Our family of four (including two adult children) spent a week here and we LOVED it. The traditional Japanese bedrooms are so comfortable with their own bathrooms, great heating, really comfortable bedding and huge window that looked right out over the Akakura ski resort. The highlight is definitely the owner/ manageress Meiko and her amazing team of staff. They cannot do enough for you, Meiko speaks such good english and can help plan and book anything you need including taxis, local restaurants and even train tickets. The buffet breakfast every morning offers everything from french pastries to english bacon and eggs as well as japanese and asian options, and the bar and lounge area with a great open log fire is the best place to finish your day. There is also a great indoor and outdoor onsen, this place has everything you need. It's at the end of the main restaurant and bar strip, and within 10 minutes walk of two chairlifts.
