Luci del Golfo

The rooms at Luci del Golfo are very good for a seaside holiday in Alghero. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, a stove which was adequate for cooking simple meals, a fridge and a shower room/toilet. The balcony is a pleasant place to sit out and have breakfast, while the beach is about two minutes walk if you fancy cooling off with a swim. Alghero's old town is about ten minutes away on foot, while the buses to the airport, to the beaches near Porto Conte and the neolithic remains go from the bus stop 50m away. There is no air conditioning, but a large fan is provided so use that and don't be tempted to leave the windows open unless you want to be feasted on by Alghero's insect population! Mario the owner is very welcoming and helpful, you'll find him at work in the pizzeria next door. An excellent place to stay for those on a modest budget.
