2nd home, as good as it's always been since 2003. Ann and Ian are very good people who have been wonderful to us for 20 years. They have nice grownup children and grandchildren. Nice quiet home and the food is really good.

Very kind place to rest in attendance of the visit of the Skelling Michael. The owner is an appassionate of the island and it have a hug culture. Top irish breakfast! Very clean place. The bathroom is nice and there was a comfortable bed where to sleep

Ann and Ian could not be kinder, more helpful, or more accommodating. The rooms and bathrooms could not be cleaner, more comfortable, or better equipped. And the meals could not possibly be more delicious. We found everything about this bed and breakfast to be completely perfect and would have loved to stay longer. The location is also wonderful for the Ring of Kerry, and especially convenient if you are visiting the Skelligs. We found a number of wonderful restaurants close by and Ann and Ian’s recommendations were all spot on. They are lovely people and we hope to return to stay with them again someday. Ann was kind and helpful, packed us a lunch and was sure to help us get out to the Port in time to catch our boat!  The French Toast was delicious, the place was exactly what we needed for our short trip to explore the area!  Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay with Ann and  Ian on our Wild Atlantic Way adventure.  Lovely accommodation and very good breakfast.  In the morning I felt we could have stayed chatting all day learning more about the history of the area and the Skellig Islands in particular.  This B&B is just a short car ride into Cahersiveen where there is a good choice or pubs and restaurants for an evening meal.  We followed our hosts' suggestion and visited Valentia Island via the nearby shuttle ferry, coming back by the bridge at the other end of the island. This B&B was a great find and one that I would highly recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about this B&B. Travelling around Ireland, I’ve noticed that it’s the people that make some B&Bs special, and that is certainly the case with Cul Draiochta. Our host (unfortunately, we didn’t get her name), offered us tea, coffee, and cake when we arrived. She went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner and local events. 

Our room was bright and we happened to look out to the back of the property where chickens roamed. This was a hit for our one-year old. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean.

The breakfast was excellent, and you can tell that care was put into the food preparation. We’ve had a wide range of quality when it comes to B&B breakfasts, and this was definitely good, quality food.



Four of us stayed in October for a night . The hosts could not have been nicer . The accommodations were excellent. This is a great place to stay . Advice on local restaurants and pubs proved to be right on the money . The surrounding landscape was exceptionally beautiful.

Slightly farther out of the main town area but host is willing to take you into town and pick you up when you are done.  Well worth the slight inconvenience to stay at a place this nice.

This place was just wonderful, the innkeepers have thought of everything. Very intelligently and professionally run. They have a cute dining room stocked with an assortment of special teas, hot chocolate, cookies, and other things so that travelers can have a snack at any time. They offer a huge breakfast menu, and use so many special, local ingredients - I had the best ever Irish yogurt there. The rooms are also stocked with lots of little things you may need, as well as having extremely comfortable beds and linens. Our room faced the back of the house and had the most lovely mountain view, as well as a view of the back garden complete with chickens and fragrant rugosa roses :-) The hosts were so friendly and helpful with driving us to dinner and to the bus the next day. It is about a 15 minute walk into the main drag of Caherciveen, so you could also walk from here easily.

A very comfortable, welcoming, and well-run B&B.   A nice, bright room with crisp, white linens and plenty of sitting room.  A very comprehensive breakfast, with great coffee.  Very fast WiFi.  Big hand basin in my ensuite bathroom, along with separate shower and bath.

Very accommodating and friendly hosts.  Nothing is too much trouble, including getting reservations for walking on Skellig Island.

Top B&B, a little ways out of town

Cul Draiochta is a warm and friendly B&B. It is clean and well kept both indoor and out. The innkeepers Anne and Ian are attentive to every detail to help make a stay with them one to remember, The first afternoon we arrived Anne had set out tea and carrot cake for us. The made to order breakfasts were excellent with very good coffee or tea. It is served in a sunny cozy breakfast room.

Boxed lunches and a three course meal are avaiable by reserving them the day before.I read that you can do your laundry there, but did not do so myself.

Anne and Ian helped us get boat tickets for The Skelllings. This time of year they sell out quickly. They also kept us up to date on weather conditions as they related to the boat venturing out to The Skillings. It all worked out perfectly for us and we made the very impressive trip.

As we were leaving for a to drive to Limerick they sugggested we take a scenic route through the mountains to reach Adare. The mountain pass was as picture perfect as I could have imagined. The road wound through very steep mountains overlooking verdant valleys where sheep grazed. Pristine mountain lakes dotted the valleys.
In places the road was canopied by beautiful rhododendrum trees. We were in the Killarney National Park.
