I've stayed at the Sleepy Hippo around 4 or 5 times this year. Travelling with work this was an affordable option, although I did not expect the wonderful hospitality and friendliness from owners Richard and Emmanuel. They're cool and laid back guys who will give advice and accomodate. The food options are limited but nice, the breakfast is a great start. The rooms have fans and ac, hot showers on request, super comfy beds and are always clean. The place is central to get around Accra with a short walk to Osu where there are shops and restaurants, a cheap taxi to the tourist sites. I recommend this stay for anyone who wants to feel safe, welcome and a no fuss option with the basic comforts.
