La Prieure is a beautiful historic building with three lovely, spacious bedrooms full of antiques and character but with all mod cons. Rates are very reasonable, beds are very comfortable, breakfast is excellent, the hosts are lovely and speak excellent English if you need them to. They can send you to an excellent restaurants and local vineyards, and you're close enough to all the chateaus. Great stopover but worth staying longer than just the night. And go to L'Arche, the wonderful animal refuge, if you're there. Highly recommended.
