The views are amazing!  The staff are also amazing;  aways happy to help and very friendly!  The food was delicious!  We recommend the Flank Steak with chimichurri and fries.  The pool was at perfect temperature!  The room was also beautiful!

We wanted a place to relax on our last night in CR and this place was perfect. Ocean view, warm pool with swim up bar, global clientele, great food and friendly service.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Marala, the staff we friendly and provided excellent service. The pool overlooking the ocean was a beautiful rest for the end of our trip. It was quiet and relaxing.

The owner and the staff were amazingly friendly. It is a gorgeous hotel with incredible view to the Pacific Ocean. I can recommend it without hesitation!

This hotel is a piece of paradise…the grounds are beautiful and pristine. The food and drinks, top notch, rooms clean and comfortable …but it’s the people who work there that make it even more special. Everyone there was polite, professional and absolutely helpful…one in particular was Tina. She made our stay absolutely wonderful…from booking tours, procuring taxi rides…something as simple as providing us extra towels…because of her we will absolutely return to Costa Rica and book The Marala Hotel.

The hotel had a beautiful view and a good restaurant. Parking was good. The monkeys came to visit during check in. They were all over the place. And Tina, our host, was very nice and helpful.

A very cute, chic and modern boutique hotel. The hotel itself only has about 11-12 rooms and then they have a lodge a little further down the property. Nice infinity pool & free breakfast every morning was awesome with nice selections as well.You also get a welcome drink upon arrival!

The Marala Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel with incredible views, an amazing restaurant, fantastic bars, and two gorgeous swimming pools.  The sunsets are something that you see in movies.  The staff was so kind and went above and beyond to make our stay so special.  There is a troop of Capuchin monkeys that would come through the property at least once a day to eat fruit from the trees.  They were great entertainment.We got to visit a sister property for a day on the beach, called Marenaz Oceanfront Resort, which was lovely, with a nice pool, restaurant and bar.  We would definately stay at the Marala again.

We had a wonderful experience!

The Marala is a lovely little hotel--almost a boutique hotel really--with good service, comfortable facilities, and good food. The problem is that there is constant road noise from the highway below including engine braking from semis. So whether eating dinner in the open-air restaurant, enjoying a drink at the bar, or lounging by the pool, excessive road noise is a constant accompaniment to one's stay. Jake brakes from semis forced us to cease conversation momentarily every time a truck passed by. As a result, I can't recommend this hotel nor will I be staying there again.

The Marala Hotel was a beautiful location, with a lovely pool and great service from very helpful staff members. The food was tasty and they had enough suitable vegetarian options. The rooms were comfortable, and clean.It is quite close to the main road, so you can hear some traffic especially large trucks, but it didn’t really affect our overall experience.Beautiful beach nearby as well for walks.

Fantastic stay

The staff were wonderful!  The restaurant served so many delicious choices and the chef was very accommodating to tweeting our needs.  Full service bar.  Gorgeous view of the ocean from the beautiful pool.  We liked being away from Jace which is very lively.Our room was a bit tired…wobbly toilet, pin holes in the curtains, no safe for valuables.  The floors outside our room, that led to the steps was extremely slippery…needs some treading to keep us safe from falling…this is a very humid environment!

Very beautiful property. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Met the owner and he made great recommendations for sites to visit. This is a perfect location with a short drive to many sites without the crowds. We had monkeys visit our balcony the last morning! Amazing ending to a terrific stay! Highly recommend!!!

Since the hotel only has ten rooms and a couple of bungalows it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The staff knew our names and room number which made it a more personable experience. The view was amazing, the grounds were perfectly landscaped rooms were clean and the food was absolutely delicious. The price of the rooms and food were great. Oh and the location was right in the middle of two of the most popular watches in the area.

Beautiful hotel! We stayed in the suite and the views are amazing! Also the monkeys coming to visit on our balcony everyday was a plus. We met the owner, and he was so nice and hospitable. He offered us rides and the staff was so nice and helpful. The restaurant at the hotel was also the most delicious. The pool was beautiful with a great view. Everything here was amazing. I cant recommended enough.

We had an amazing stay. The staff was very friendly, including the owner Aamit, who is passionate about service. The pool bar was a fun place to start. The restaurant and food was terrific. If possible try to stay on Friday for the soulful band. The view was great and the rooms were peaceful. The beds were very comfortable. We saw Macaws from the balcony of our very large room, and monkeys every day at about 4 pm. Enjoy. We would definately go back.
