Good lighting in the room, but no phone charging sockets, no dry hair, random hot water, minimal comfort, minimal home, lunch, whatever's available, not really the choice.

Good location downtown

We booked two months in advance, paid the total value of the hotel for three rooms, two days to arrive, were called to tell us that they were cancelling the booking because a very large group had arrived. They switched us to another hotel that was far from downtown and of much inferior quality.

The reservation was removed in less than two days.

The hotel Los Portales is very well located. Although practically in the middle of the city, the rooms are very quiet. The staff are very friendly but speak only Spanish. In the shower there were still remains of the previous guests. Likewise, it took a very, very long time to distribute breakfast (no buffet). Nevertheless, I can recommend this hotel.

Very well situated

The hotel Los Portales was offered as a short-term change as part of a tour - unfortunately a real deterioration! The rooms are spread out over 3 backyards, the last (where I was staying) without a WiFi connection. The room itself was not only spartan, but also dirty. The toilet seat was broken, instead of the drain in the nasal cell was a hole without cover (there is fear that something will fall into it). Unfriendly and even worse service at breakfast (which just below the aspect of the room rated better than starving. No storage facilities, no bedside. Conclusion: one night was just too safe to carry, but not recommended.

Unfortunately, it was a descent.

What a disastrous care for 30 minutes waiting for some scrambled eggs, and a very despotic table with zero customer service capacity, not knowing where to look for that kind of employee, I doubt very much that with this kind of service they will attract more tourists.

A failed breakfast went to another place.

Pleasant, nice, nice, cheap, well-placed, clean, comfortable bedside mannered, unique but with repeated and tasteless breakfasts, and there was also a time when some guests smoked and the smoke entered the room.

Agradable 

Interesting hotel because it's not too far from the central square. One plus a restaurant in the hotel that only operates at noon. Standard room but not soundproofed at all!!! shame otherwise it could make it a very interesting hotel. Personnel who don't speak English at all.

Noiseful

The positive is the smile and kindness of the receptionist during the day, the night is as silent. the rooms on the third floor are quiet. the negative: tiny rooms and bathroom, minimalist cleaning. the but: the breakfast that offers the minimum and less than the minimum. had known this hotel 9 years ago and had good memories. everything has changed, Popayán offers better options for the same price.

the minimum.

It's a colonial hotel, located in the city center, close to restaurants, bars and attractions. Ideal for relaxing when you go to work. It's bad, I see that foreigners complain about the lack of wifi. The breakfast is light and without alternatives. The room is comfortable and rests well away from the city noise.

hotel for a business trip

No hot water. Uncomfortable beds. Very young staff seemed not to have any experience in hospitality only able to help with the very basics. Wifi is poor so we had to sit outside to use it.  The rooms and bathroom are in poor condition with broken skylight and dirty walls needed painting. The location is fairly close to the plaza but is on a busy street.  It's quiet in the rooms above 200, as they are more interior. There's a sitting area in the third patio area that has good wifi. Unfortunately everywhere else has very poor wifi.
