We stayed here for a night and were satisfied with the hotel. Comfortable room, great garden and scenery, good and friendly service from the staff. The highlight was cycling around the resort compound on early morning. 

The location is a bit far from the Chang Long waterfall, but near the Bamboo museum. Takes around 20 mins drive to the Bamboo Forest. Not much restaurants nearby, but there is a restaurant in the hotel. Rooms are ok, clean though not that superb, but acceptable. 

Not sure if staff can speak English well. Overall, great place to relax and breathe in fresh air! 

Nice garden, good hotel and friendly staff

A beautiful hotel, amid a peaceful setting.  If you want to just take some time out to relax , this is the place.
The restaurant serves all the local specialities, and there are quite a few, including some dishes for the mores adventerous.
Nothing but good to say about my stay here.

Anji is a very nice tourist destination for those that want more nature and beauty and less night life.  As my stay here was on business I did not see many people that could speak English so I am not certain how hard it is for foreigners.
I think the hotel stay does speak some English so you can get by, but once away from the bigger east coast cities, language can be an issue.

A great place to relax

Relaxing location, away from the the town and next to the bamboo museum.  The rooms are very comfortable but it is the gardens that make this such a great place to stay, such as the a pontoon bridge over the weir, leading to the miniature Mount Lingfeng, complete with twisting staircases up to the summit.  The staff here are generally helpful and friendly although only a couple of the front desk receptionists are able to speak much English.  I thought that the bamboo shoot banquets were extortionately priced at 2880 RMB and 1080 RMB, even though they did include at least sixteen different dishes.  My advice would be to sample one of the local restaurants nearby and make sure that they stock the wonderful Anji Science Bamboo Beer.

Good splurge hotel

The hotel is beautifully located with friendly staff and clean, well-equipped rooms. The food is also excellent. We are back booking a room on the ground floor due to a lack of elevator. I especially liked that there was a computer with internet connection in the room. We ate a great meal in the restaurant and then drank some more in the karaoke. Everything was perfect.
