L' Auberge Doucet Inn

It was a wonderful place.  Friendly staff. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, great tub if you want a relaxing bath. Big rooms with wonderful views of the water , they provided an excellent home cooked breakfast included with your stay. Would return again.

We enjoyed our stay. Excellent ratings in cleanliness, location, comfort, quiet surroundings and service.  At first, the room given to us did not meet our needs given the no. of nights we were staying,  and  because there was availability, we were given a better room with a beautiful view . We were very pleased.

This place is nothing plush, but it didn't need to be.  The price was fair, the staff was nice, a great breakfast was included, view was great and it is the cutest place we have ever stayed.  It looks like a little red barn and I loved it immediately.  OK, it was a little old and rustic, but it seemed to fit the area so well.  It is up a long, winding driveway from the main road so it is very quiet.  Depending on your mood when you stay here, you might find things to complain about.  I thought it was perfectly quaint and perfect for a night on the Cabot Trail.

We spent a night here on our trip around the cabot trail. The staff were great, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. Convenient location, beautiful views...I'd stay here again without hesitation whenever I'm back in the area. 

We were lucky enough to stay in the room with the kitchenette. It is spacious and has a great view. We enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the property in front of the Auberge. The B&B is close to good restaurants with great local musicians. The breakfast was great!

We arrived late at night (730pm) and the staff were very friendly. The room was less than I was expecting but for one night it didn’t matter. The breakfast the next morning was very nice and it was an added bonus that it was included and we didn’t have to go looking for somewhere to eat.

Clean situated on a slope overlooking the water. This is a great place to stay. The owners are friendly and show personal pride in the whole facility. Close to the main action in Cheticamp, but far enough away for a great sleep. The breakfast was included and was made to order by a warm friendly chef, who also served us. i

We were greeted by the owner, very friendly and helpful.  We had the room on the ground floor with a kitchenette.  Very clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable and we overlooked the bay.  So quiet and peaceful and a 3 minute drive to a restaurant.  The breakfast was included in our stay and was delicious.  I would recommend this to anyone!!

Auberge was an immaculate and friendly stay. Beautiful view of the harbor. Breakfast was delicious. We visited the beach and it's near the store so we could pick up food and use the kitchenette in the room. So glad we stayed!

I was a little bit hesitant about visiting an Arcadian place on our tour as I don't speak any french! The staff here are absolutely very friendly, chatty and helpful. They are the icing on the cake. Cheticamp is a wonderful place. Firstly the breakfast and service at this Inn were brilliant. The rooms are large and well appointed and very clean. The view of the sunset from this Inn is wonderful. The area has wonderful restaurants. Of all the places we visited in Cape Breton this was the one I was a bit dubious about. but in reality it is amazing, The vibe in Cheticamp is so relaxed and easy going. If you get a chance to stay in Auberge Doucet then take it.

Just outside the lively village of Cheticamp you will find this personable small hotel. There is plenty of free parking. Staff are friendly and will provide a breakfast as part of the service. There are seats outside which will help you admiring the sunset. Rooms are comfortable. One small minus. The place is a bit old and outside of the village. You will need a car to visit Cheticamp.

Wonderful and Enjoyable.

This a is a charming, old and creaky-floored inn (that's a compliment).  There is a fairly steep staircase to the second floor which could be a problem for some guests dragging suitcases.  Our room was very clean but small and we were constantly stepping over our suitcases.  Very pleasant, helpful staff.

Great place, great view!

Stayed one night at the Auberge Doucette Inn in Cheticamp while doing the Cabot Trail.  The place is more like a  small hotel than a B&B but the rooms were adequete and comfortable.  The beds could use a new mattress but overall pretty good room.  The breakfast was great and the host was very accomodating, helping us to find a great restaurant in town which  was very busy due to a quad rally that weekend.  As the Inn was very busy and fully booked, the staff were swamped for breakfast but put on a good tasty breakfast in spite of the number of guests

Friendly staff and great breakfast

Not many pet friendly places in cheticamp, so it was a relief they accommodated us in a lovely room with a king bed. Staff were so wonderful and accommodating. Breakfast is included and it was yummy, order from a great little breakfast menu. Wonderful spot to watch the sunset, it would have been nice to have lawn chairs for all to sit out and watch.

The inn is very clean, has friendly staff and serves a hot breakfast!  It is located close to all amenities.  I forgot a pair of earrings and one of the staff, Lida, kindly mailed them to me and they arrived three days after I got home from our trip.  I certainly appreciated this kind service!  Thanks so much!
