Lorraine, the property manager, was great! So chatty and helpful. The bed was comfy. We were able to cook meals, watch tv at the end of our day.  Good shower. It was a nice home away from home.You'll need to bring your own paper towels & napkins. There is no cooking oil or spices other than s&p. We were happy with it.

She was very welcoming and friendly towards us. The place was cozy and clean. We like it :)

Enjoyed our stay.  Had a nice cottage, very clean.  The property is very quiet at night.  Staff is nice.  Would recommend.

Beautiful cottage and so so clean.  Had everything we needed including a dishwasher, our own deck with bbq.We enjoyed the super quietness at night because with small child we are up early and need a good night's sleepOur bed was super comfy, firm for support but with a nice thick topper it was like laying on clouds.Cottage is nicely laid out with nice big open concept kithcen/living room with lots of seating (sofabed and 2 sofa chairs).  Cottages are set back from each other so we didn't see our neighbors when we were out on the deck.Yes there are rules as the previous review mention but they are just common sense things that people should do anyway.  It's not a place to stay if you want to party cause they maintain a very quiet place. Highly recommend this place if you want a very clean place to stay and a quiet place.within 5-10 minutes of everything in Cavendish and North Rustio, attractions, shopping, dining etc.  Charlottetown is only 30 mins drive.Will return

Great cottages amazing value that are CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. I have stayed in 5 star hotels not as spotless as this cottage. You can tell the attention to detail on the cleaning. When we arrived someone was literally cleaning every cottages deck with a broom!

Cottages are well maintained and appointed, all appliances worked great. Appeared some recently replaced carpets and bathroom flooring. Plenty of space for a family of 4-5. Spitting distance (under 5 mins) to all of the Cavendish hot spots. Nice little playground for the kids. We never used the pool but did check it out and it looked well maintained and was warm!

If we stay in this area of PEI again these cottages would be on our list.

It was very quiet there .......no noise  from anything
The cottage had everything you need with a Kitchen for a longer stay
It even came with a King Bed !
The wireless Internet worked fantastic for my laptop and tablet 
All over all we do recommend staying at Lorraine's facility!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage; very clean and well maintained with everything you could need in a cottage.  Even a dishwasher!  Nice new modern tub/shower enclosure and flooring.  Very conveniently located in Cavendish near golf, tourist attractions and restaurants.  The owner Lorraine is pleasant and most accommodating.  It doesn't get much better than this for cottages in Cavendish and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mayfield Cottages to anyone.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage which was very clean and spacious.  Clean towels were provided daily.  Lorraine gave great advice on locations for seafood, shopping, groceries,  lobster suppers (we went twice) and areas to visit.  The kids had a great time in the pool and playing with other kids in the playground while we were on-site.  The location of the cottages is ideal for family activities - near Anne of Green Gables, Cavendish beach, as well as, waterparks and ride parks.  Would definitely stay again in the future.

Lorraine was very accommodating with our request for 3 nights, even though they planned on closing for the season the weekend I called for.  The cottage was very cozy and tight; there were gale force winds our first night.  We were warm and the power stayed on.  

Everything worked (we didn't use the BBQ), which I think says something for ongoing maintenance at the end of a busy season, and we had a dishwasher.  The cottage was well supplied but there are a couple things a person could pack for final touches--paper towel, kleenex, night light, tub mat, hair dryer.  Wifi was strong and steady.  Cottage had a flat screen, so we were able to stream Netflix on Chromecast, no problem.  There were lots of hangers and a large dresser.  

Overall, we were very comfortable for our 3 days, as well as handy to a grocery store, bakery and gas station in Rustico.  Couldn't ask for more as the final customers of 2018.

Recommended - Great Place to Stay

Our mini vacation at Mayfield Cottages was from July 2 to July 5.  

We stayed in cottage #1 which was a decent size.  This cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large kitchen and tv area.  Rooms were spotless at arrival, you can tell that Lorraine takes pride in her cottages.  Clean towels are supplied daily. 

Unfortunately the pool was not up and running during our stay, but Lorraine did emails us prior to our arrival to explain what had happen.  Somethings are just totally out of her control and we did not let this dampen our holiday.

The cottages I thought were in a good location not too far from all the tourist attractions.

Lorraine thank you for having us, we would gladly return.
