Wow, My wife and I stayed at The doctors house and we were amazed at the clean large room!, The food and service was awesome,,The staff clearly love their job, The ponies were sweet not to mention the grounds and trails were a plus! , Highly recommend at least a couple night for sure, Thank you to all staff who made our stay magical!

Awesome stay

I just can’t get over how amazing my stay was here. The fall scenery and landscaping were magnificent! I truly felt as if I had entered another world when I came to The Doctor’s House. I felt an air of serenity call around me, I felt at peace and was very comfortable. 

The Inn itself is absolutely gorgeous. Each room what is super comfortable with a great bed and a great view. The art everywhere really adds to the atmosphere. 

Service was impeccable and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! We enjoyed going down to the cliffs and having a campfire, we loved walking along the trails, and we adored all of the animals…goats are my new favourite animal! The ponies were fun to feed as well. 

Can’t go wrong with a great hot tub and getting warm afterwards by the big stone fireplace :)

 I came here with a few girlfriends but I am definitely recommending this place to everyone I talk to and I am going back soon with my family this winter. I bet this place is a real winter wonderland and my kids would love it! 

Talking to the staff, I can just imagine how beautiful this place is in every season. From talking with friends it seems that we have all really enjoyed our stays here. If I ever get married, this is where I want to be for my special day!

A magical, majestic place :)

Our visit to the doctors was a fantastic experience.  The amazing  food and service and the beautiful views and hikes, our time spend here was truly breath taking. I highly recommend the doctors house for anyone looking to experience on of the most beautiful getaways on this island.

The perfect Getaway 

I absolutely cherish this place and every minute I spend there. Stayed here multiple times and have never ever been disappointed. The glorious property is breathtakingly stunning and the rooms, food and service are second to none. Every wish is granted. Do not hesitate to book your next stay here! Can't wait to return.

Spectacular!

My husband & I enjoyed a delightful weekend at the Doctors House .
The room was comfortable plus plus and the view was pure delight , it looked out over the ocean. 
The grounds were magnificent with walking trail’s everywhere.
The food was gourmet and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Sunday evening The Spirit of Newfoundland productions played at the palatial barn /dining hall , it was a show not soon to be forgotten. They performed “Where Once they Stood “ a very moving performance that could and should be on Broadway.

Of course we spent  time at the spa, pure delight.

The weekend at the Doctors House was one of peace and relaxation, truly a little piece of heaven.


Greens Harbour ‘s Hidden Gem

The grounds and setting are beautiful. Cannot complain about the setting and appearance one bit. Well maintained and charming. 
We stayed in the chalet rooms off to the side. 
They are singular room  cabins , like a little motel room. 

We had a rotting foot long sub in our mini fridge.  Poor first impression.  
Very unpleasant smell! 

Not a room on the premises has a television. 
For the value spent for a room at a spa resort they  give their guests cheap and minimal toiletries. 

The rooms in the doctors house are nicer for sure than the little chalet rooms. But knowing the charge on those it was shockingly too expensive.

Over hyped over priced

I have stayed here before and always enjoyed it. This time I rented 3 bungalows for my family. They never made the room or dropped off clean towels for the second night. The restaurant was extremely slow. It took 21/2 hours to eat a main and dessert off a very limited menu. Our tea was delivered and gone 20 minutes before dessert actually arrived. Waiter stopped by our table 3 times in that 150 minute span.

Dissatisfied

We stayed there for 1 night in August 2022. 
The place needs a lot of work inside. We could not close the bathroom door as it is warped.
The restaurant is not very inviting and the food was hohum.
No personnel was available when we checked in and luckily a guest was able to direct us to our room.

Old, tired and overpriced.

Customer service was minimal at best between the hours of 9 am to 3:30 only. Other times to even get bottled water you needed to call a number and good luck if you actually got someone. 
We had business in the area so needed to stay a few nights, however our room had a filthy balcony that was unclean from day one to when we left. Apparently it was the highlight of our room. Showers were lukewarm or cold and water pressure was often non existent. On the morning of our last day we woke to a wedding party having their hair and makeup done in the hallway in front of our door - we could hear everything. Since there was an empty room in the first floor (former dining area) which could be used, this was a mistake by the staff. 
The Inn received a 2 rating for its lovely location by the water. 
We have yet to hear from the manager (we were told they would get right back to us) about our concerns - it’s been 10 days.

Doctor’s House is Overrated and Not Recommended

over priced. Small room, no air conditioning. worst shower, no pressure and took for ever to get warm. tried to confirm my reservation but nobody got back to me. I would not stay there again. surrounding grounds were best part of my stay.
