I like a lot this place. THe island is very beautiful so I think it would be hard not to fall in love with the location but I liked my bungalow very relaxing and clean, able to book planckton trip from here.

I booked online and got confirmation with no phone number. I have written back to the email address a number of times but no response. 

The website is down. 

So it’s blackmail - I can’t amend my reservation since Secret Paradise resort is so secret you can’t contact them. Book somewhere else, guys, where you can get in touch with them beforehand.

TERRIBLE UNCONTAINABLE

We are presently staying at the Bounty boutique hotel where the food is delicious well cooked and OMG too much! However after reading the fantastic reviews about this restaurant we thought to give it a try!
By the way we have eaten at several establishments including Bounty boutiques sister restaurant Sweet dreams (same menu) and once again omg superb.
So what’s my gripe re The Secret Paradise restaurant ? (SPR)

My wife can’t stand the taste smell of coconut so when ordering in Asia she always studies the menu intensely before ordering.
After 2 weeks touring SE Asia with incredible food, she hasn’t incurred any problems whatsoever. However the SPR experience was disappointing to say the least.
She chose the pork with pineapple , a straight forward dish you would assume, which gave no indication there was a coconut ingredient. Wrong, the meal was coconut based and more of a soup than a meal!! I queried this with the manager/ waitress ,who at first appeared alarmed my wife had a nut allergy . When we informed her this was not the case and it was just a dislike for coconut her manner changed and she became uninterested. I have to reiterate there was no mention of coconut in the meal description Not very good customer service. I would have expected more, like the offer to change the meal.
Regarding my dish , a chicken amok. Well, having toured SE Asia for several years I have never experienced an  amok like this!

What a wonderful island! It really is dreamy.  We stayed for 6 days at the end of our our trip to relax.  The bungalows are situated nearly at the end of the beach which is perfectly away from the loud music at the bars near the pier.  They also have the best part of the beach, lots of space and you don’t feel cramped (others looked like they were shoe horned in and many went back into the jungle) the cocktails were the best we tried.  We found the staff helpful especially the guy (sorry we can’t remember your name). We went on the plankton trip for 10$ which was worth it it’s like swimming in stars!  The next-door property have bbq which was very good and they were very friendly and made us feel welcome.  

A few things to note take lots of mosquito repellent I got bitten to bits and take lots of money as there are no atms on the island and cash back is charged at 10%.  

The only criticisms I can think of is that the bungalows could do with a little updating just some home touches and repairs nothing major.  I would have liked to have had a welcome email before the stay giving advice re boats and general info.

Lovely stay.

I arrived very stressed for my four-day stay at Secret Paradise, because I thought the hotel site no longer existed. I communicated normally by mail with them, until I asked them 2 months before the start of the stay, to arrange my transfer from Sihanoukville Airport. Despite 5 emails, no response, the number provided by Agoda does not exist, and the hotel site does not exist anymore. Finally I managed to get to the hotel room, asking me where I was going, and there was one with a dining table at the hotel to help us with our luggage (2 minutes walk from the resort).

The start was to forget us on the beach with the suitcases on arrival. Answer? We came to pick you up at 4:00 but the ferry was not there so we didn't wait for you. The ferry was scheduled to arrive at 4:30. Attention to customer 0. At the delivery of the room we were pleasantly surprised to find out that the shower is broken and the door lock is scarded so it is impossible to close it. We signal the losses to the owner who pretends to be surprised and assures an immediate intervention. The door is fixed, the shower bar is simply removed. When we open the faucet the dock comes out a water barrel, it's impossible to clean the food.

Everything but a paradise

The location of the bungalows is really great! Breakfast and dinner are also highly recommended. However, the price ratio is unfortunately not right! We paid 126 euros per night (2 adults and one child with breakfast) and for that there should be at least a cupboard in the room, a safe or other amenities. We completely waived showering due to the iron water, but we found that not bad, because the sea is right at the door!

Paradise Location

Secret Paradise Resort is truly magical.  From the moment we arrived from smelly Sihkanouville everything was fabulous.  We were greeted at the peer and whisked straight away by boat to the bungalows.  The accommodation was basic with no aircon and cold water but we knew this when we booked it (although the water did smell very tinny and stained my bikini, beware!)  The breakfast was fabulous and all food was delicious, the staff couldn't be ore helpful and really made the stay even more enjoyable.  Waking up in the bungalow right on the beach was an unforgettable experience, and they are situated on the best part of Saracen Bay.  This island really is paradise and our stay couldn't have been better, the only regret is leaving to go and stay on Koh Rong! :)

True Paradise

Very nice beachfront bar and restaurant, good food, unusual bungalows at cheap prices, staffed by volunteers from different nationalities, not a nice tjs (you get scolded when you want to pay by card because their terminal doesn't work!!!)

It's very high.

If your lucky to get a booking (only 5 bungalows) take it.  on the nicer end of Saracen Beach.  Staff, food(best breakfast around...keep you full for whole day), location, cocktails, beautiful bungalows, everything about it is fabulous.  Thanks to everyone there for a great time.
