Grange de Pierrot

I just stayed 6 days in La Grange des Marnieres, a unique B&B in Braine l'Alleud, close to Waterloo. Even though the place goes back to 1765, with impressive old walls, beams and pavements, everything is up to date and extremely comfortable (the wifi connection was one of my requirements and worked very smoothly) My room was named Maraketch, easy to access on the ground floor, with a lovely atmosphere and a view of the garden in the back from 2 separate windows. Breakfast was delicious and I couldn’t eat all that was offered! The owner Benoit was extremely helpful and kind to me as well as his lovely wife and children and went out of his way to drive me back and forth every day to where I was spending my time with an aging family member. I very strongly recommend this B&B and would not even think of going anywhere else when I come again to this part of Belgium next year.
