Good for the price

I stayed for two nights (from December 31 to December 1) at this hostel, when we arrived we were not given the courtesy set and if you asked for it you had to pay an extra fee, the wifi was virtually non-existent in the room (on the first floor), the signal worked only in the hall and not all the staff were courteous. The room was 6 but the space was really small, difficult to move around.

mismanaged

We were in Vienna during the bridge of 08/09/10/12 December 2016. We are a family of 2 adults and 1 5-year-old girl. We had a room with 2 castle beds and 1 private bathroom (dock + wash separated from the toilet). The room was a little narrow but we didn't need much space. The shower had a tent and not a door; this involved leaking water. Towels were paid: €4 to a towel (sincerely it seemed we had a little bit for a hostel).

Simple

The hostel is located near the central station, convenient for those arriving by train, not necessarily to visit the city. Lack of cleanliness, extremely small bathrooms and hot rooms. The reception staff tend to ignore travelers. The cost is low but suitable for a Spartan hostel and far from the center.

Spartan, dirty, away from the center

It's very convenient for a short stay! You can take bicycles near the train station to get to the city centre quickly. There's not really a kitchen available for those who haven't taken the small dej option. There's not much room to store their belongings in the bedrooms and only two electrical outlets to charge their electronics for six people. It's very light! The wifi doesn't go up to the bedrooms and you have to go down to the common room to have access to it.

It's good for short stays.

Prices are a bit high, the location is relatively far from the center, the rooms are small, although some include a shower, the staff at the standard were also cold and not very hospitable, and it was not possible to cook there, which is now a bit inevitable in a hostel... Look elsewhere!

What to Avoid

Our room for 4 was small enough, to spend one night was enough but for longer I don't know how we would have put our things. Shower and toilet inside the room which is a plus. The wifi didn't go to our room on the other hand. Very nice common room/lounge but in summer like the glass berries don't open it's very hot. It lacks a kitchen equipped with at least a refrigerator to keep the food. Located at a metro stop from the station but quite far from the center anyway (we did it on foot but it's quite nice because the city is very large).

Disappointed by the rooms and kitchen

The rooms are quite small but contain toilets and a private bathroom, equipped with a dry hair. They also contain large locker rooms, convenient for large travel bags, but there are a few shots missing (3 in a room of 6). The sheets are offered (you have to make your own bed) and the reception towels, soaps and even toilet required in case of forgetfulness. Everything is clean, and the common areas (lounges and canteen) are friendly and quite lively, especially since this is the only place where you can properly catch the wifi (free at the gate) This hotel is really fast, it is equipped with a kitchen: There is only a wave of available, which reduces the possibilities of meals.

A decent hotel that lacks a fully equipped kitchen

The Viennacithostel is a comfortable hostel, close to the metro station which in a few minutes leads to the centre and characterized by the kindness of the staff and above all the cleanliness of the entire structure. There are both private and mixed rooms with bathroom in the room. Covers and bedding are included. What is not included is breakfast, but with 5 euros you can enjoy a large staff-prepared buffet characterized by continental breakfast.

A quality hostel

Location: 2 minutes from a U1 stop which takes you a few minutes to the centre, so great for living in Vienna. Also a few steps away there is a street full of shops with a market and food in quantity. Rooms: No infamy praises it. Bathroom in the room but tiny and without windows, uncomfortable beds and with shores on both sides (which for me, high 1.93 are a sensitive problem), electrical outlets away from beds and in a lower number than the guests of the room. Appropriate windows without tents from which the sun filters already in the early morning. They provide you with the laundry for the bed. Climate: The receptionists, although educated, limit themselves to the minimum indispensable. My habit in hostels is to find receptionists who besides doing their job tend to live with the high classroom and classroom, this indicates too much of the price in the hostel city.
