A hotel that has been renovated over the years, and the rooms are therefore neat and clean. Staff is friendly. The location is optimal. Parking space (5 €/day) in the lobby. Now on to the negative aspects: everything except the rooms is outdated. In the entrance area there is a constant stench. Breakfast is unpleasantly prepared, but in principle OK. Dinner is terrible, focus on cost efficiency (backer soup,..) and also the quality at least not to our taste.

You live off the situation.

The hotel is very centrally located. It was right on the shopping street. The food was good. The buffet could have been bigger at breakfast (not the choice, which was good.) because no matter when you came, it was always very tight and full, which is very unfavorable in times of Corona. The coffee machine should perhaps be supplemented by a larger one or a second, as it was always empty and the punch was limitless. At the breakfast there were three menus to choose from, which was already good.

Nice hotel.

It's a pity that this hotel had everything and you could enjoy your vacation, but unfortunately everything only works on demand. The rooms were nice and renovated, and even our customer's wishes were taken into account (we were very pleased about this). But unfortunately, for example, the shower was only replenished on demand. The sauna area was new, beautiful with great views, but unfortunately, the - until the time was right, you had to sign up for a certain time. The meals were from bad to very good. This hotel had everything, but unfortunately the potential is not being exploited, otherwise you might feel very well here.

Central location ideal holiday hotel with the schladming card really recommended man can take a vacation and need the car all the time not (travel bus) highly recommended giant waterfalls and of course attic

There is a cosy bar, but perhaps the only downside is that there is only one small seating area for relaxing after the meal.

comfortable family run hotel

We stayed here on a Crystal skiing holiday. The hotel was ideal for skiing as it is close to the Planai, near the apes-ski, and has good facilities. The rooms are very comfortable, with beautifully appointed bathrooms. The staff are very friendly. The food is good, and there is plenty of it, but it is nothing fancy. We would certainly return.

The ideal choice for a skiing holiday

We stayed here in mid January (booked via Crystal Ski). Good room (not huge) but well appointed with acres of storage, and a small but functional bathroom. Pillows were a bit lumpy and thin, but hotel happily gave us 2 more to bulk them up. Good food every night, friendly staff, and a 5 minute walk to the ski lift. Would definitely go back. 

Great hotel for our ski holiday 

Stayed in room 208 during a one week ski holiday 5-12 January 2019. The room was spacious, modern and had a nice decor. The room had 2 single beds, but had a couch which could be a third bed. There was a flat screen TV, a large wardrobe with shelves and hanging space. There was a safe in the wardrobe. There were coat hooks on the wall next to the radiator which was great for ensuring your ski clothes dried quickly. The room was very warm. The toilet had a shower cabinet. The wash basin had a large shelf underneath the basin for holding. The room and toilet looked as if it been recently modernised/decorated. The bar, dining room and reception were on the first floor they were nicely decorated in a more traditional Austrian style. On the ground floor the entrance hall was nicely decorated with sofas and there was a bench seat outside the ski room. The ski room was well appointed with heated racks for ski boots and racks for holding your skis and boots. The hotel has a lift which services all the floors. The hotel mentally located and is about a 5 minute walk from the Planai Cable Car Station. The food was lovely with a buffet breakfast consisting of a selection of fruit juices cereals, cooked meats, cheese, bread, fruit, and eggs. Coffee and tea was served at each table. The evening meal consisted of 4 courses: salad from a buffet; soup; main course, which you select the day before; and a desert. The food was varied, well presented and delicious. The staff were very friendly, engaged in great conversation and efficient in carrying out their service. The hotel has sauna/health spa rooms on the top floor of the hotel, but I did not visit it. A member of our group did make use of the spa and thought it was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending the Neue Post for a holiday and would return if I decide to visit Schladming again. The holiday had various types of guests: solo; couples; friend groups and families.

Great hotel for a ski holiday

On our way from Hungary to Udine, we stayed here for the night, an excellent dinner, overnight and breakfast with typical Austrian specialities.

In the middle of the steerish mountains and in the centre of Schladming, the restaurant is characterised by attentive service and good cuisine! The Austrian-designed breakfast buffet and the quality of the food are also exceptionally exemplary and generously arranged.
