What an absolutely amazing place to stay!!! I highly recommend anyone that wants a bit of down time with their partner to come and stay here. We have absolutely loved our time here and cannot find one fault with this place. Can’t wait to come back

Majestic

There only a couple of cabin situated about 15 minutes drive from Orange.
We didn’t see one person during our stay so it’s very quiet.
Did walk further up into the property and there are some chooks, alpacas and a dam. Lots of native birds flying around and a delightful bush view from every window.
Our cabin #2 was spacious and well equipped. Has a microwave, cooktop but no oven. We drove into town for dinner, a little worried about the drive home in the dark but didn’t see any animals.
Some may be alarmed by the composting toilet but honestly, you wouldn’t know it was one except it doesn’t flush.
No wifi, but good phone connection.
Bed was comfortable, and it would be cosy in winter with a lovely fire and aircon.
Well recommended.

Peaceful

We dropped into the Mountain Tea House. The staff were really friendly and attentive. He gave us some great ideas of what to see and do in the area into which we were traveling.
My husband had a coffee which he said was excellent while I had the freshly squeezed Beetroot, Carrot, and Lemon Juice. So yummy!

Great Coffee, Friendly Helpful Staff

Spent a pleasant weekend here. It does feel a little like you are 12 years old again and staying with your great aunt. Every available surface has a notice telling you what to do. "Please turn off ALL the gas stove knobs" who doesn't ? A petty grievance I know but if you can afford to pay you are probably over 18.There are some spreads in the fridge with a small container of fresh milk, and a few other small offerings you don't always receive. A long drop toilet that is oder free. Abundant hot water for the shower. Be warned its tank water to drink. Lots of wood and the fire is set ready to go. Its a bit like a 1970's  ski cabin. All up quite well done. I would go again.

Clean and in an excellent location.

Small milk and condiments in the fridge. Tea and coffee also available. We had very clear instructions of how to find the cabins, how to access the room and easy checkout. Good spot if you want to be out from Orange (approx 15 mins) quiet location (do the drive to the top of Mountain Canobolas beautiful view from the top (watch the sunset), near many vineyards. The fireplace was a great way to warm up the cabin. Room to park two cars beside the cabin. 

There are signs all over the walls giving directions of what you are required to do why staying and when leaving eg clean up after yourself or a cleaning fee will be imposed, don't strip the beds when leaving (not sure why this is the case?) Hang wet towels up to dry (not sure why this is the case, thought you would leave a pile of used towels on the bathroom floor when leaving?) Airconditioner didn't work (batteries in control needed replacing) sign up saying it takes 5 mins to warm up. Turned it off but it kept turning itself back on. Spider webs and dust on wooden beams throughout the cabin. The main lounge was a sofa bed but the mattress has been removed from the lounge so when you sat on it you sink into the lounge as no support underneath you, very uncomfortable to sit on. The mattress on beds was quite lumpy.

Quiet location, basic accommodation & surrounded by nature.

This is a number of cabins built on a hillside and is not cheap on an individual basis. But as a group it can be very cost effective. We stayed in the log cabin and was very pleasantly surprised when entering. Very comfortable leather lounges and chairs, a fire place with a lot of wood added to the ambiance of the living room. A neat and well equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. The cabin sleeps up to 14 people and can be easily occupied by two or three families. Beds are very comfortable and cosy on the cool nights of the region. It was centrally located to the wineries of the region and at the bottom of the hill is a coffee shop, tea house where you can have breakfast if not looking to cook. A beautiful, serene experience and recommended for ant group of friends.

Quiet in the hills

A perfect base for our orange region wine tasting tour. We had the log cabin which contains everything you need and for your stay being self contained. It's quitereasonably priced also. Check it out it's worth a look
