A recommended place for young people traveling around the country and the world is economical and it is close to everything in the city of la Rioja with a grill very close and the restaurant of the hotel A few blocks away located about five blocks from the main square.

A place close to the city center very accessible for travelers who do not want to spend much.

I stayed 3 days during the July holidays, an excellent stay. I highlight the cleanliness in the common areas, a fairly complete kitchen, breakfast included, patio with pool and grill. I stayed in a double room with private bathroom, cable TV and heating! A constructive critique: in the room I had no key (also the place is very quiet) and I would have liked to receive cleaning in the room while we were staying.

Very good stadium.

We stayed one night at this hotel. The room was tiny and very noisy. (Saturday night) Breakfast was not terrible. Nevertheless, the reception was nice and the room was clean.

Disappointment

I recommend the hostel. we were very well looked after and were very friendly and attentive at all times. the facilities are simple but everything works correctly, without any inconvenience, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was in perfect condition. It is well located. It could improve the breakfast, but it is reasonable for the cost of the rooms.

A good option

For what it offers, this is at the height of one of the three-star hotels in the area that give the same and a lot of money. My husband and I went out one night. Marital accommodation with private bathroom. Not very luxurious but very comfortable. Breakfast included (coffee and biscuits with sweet). Parking inside the hostel. Close to the center so we went for a walk. Too much for a hostel but don't forget that it is a hostel, which preserves that atmosphere of algebra and that if you go on a Saturday like I went I'll cost you to sleep for the rest of the guests. I knew what I was looking for because I already lived in other hotels like this.

It's more than just a hostel.

We staid in the hostel for 2 nights. the personal was very nice, the room clean but little. nice living room with veranda, nice kitchen that everybody can use. good wifi. we didn't test the swimming pool. 
bike friendly. :) there is a place to park them in the night. 

simple but good

Very clean room and bathroom, good location, very nice place in general... Very bad breakfast, due to its rarity and unresponsibility, those who got up later, had only coffee, hopefully... the attention of the boys at night was much better than that of the girl in the morning...

Good price-quality ratio

I stayed at this hostel for two nights during the may holidays and used La Rioja for a short trip to Talampaya Nationalpark. The staff at the hostel was very friendly and very helpful e.g. in organizing a tour to the nationalpark for the next day. For breakfast they served fresh baked Medialunas (the best on my whole journey) and they were very flexible serving breakfast even before breakfast time. Anyway, if you're Spanish is not that good be prepared that most of the team is not speaking any english and use google translator in case of urgency. The hostal team did always have an eye on the cleanliness of the bathroom. The shared rooms are in the yard of the building. So there is no problem with noise. The rooms are clean and provide reading lamps for each bed. Unfortunately the rooms are a little small and the socket-outlets didn't work with the european connector (wich most of the socket-outlets in argentina do). In that hostal I also missed lockers and the possibility to lock the bathroom door. (Somehow the key was missing.)
If you have your own tablet or smartphone than you can use the wifi of the hostel. A hostel computer for those guests who travel without such devices is missing. The hostal is located half way between the center of the town and the bus terminal. But it's no problem to walk to the plaza as the town is really small. The bus stop for the bus to the terminal isn't far away (2 or 3 blocks) and coming from the terminal you can take nearly every bus to the center.

very helpful hostel team

We stayed three nights in THE hostel And we liked it. It is not very cheap, 100 pesos for a dorm but THE rooms are very clean with airco. We had a four bed dorm outside, only with THE 2 of us. THE hostel has a swimming pool And breakfast is included. THE staff don't speak much english but they try with Google translate. THE only thing we didn't like was THE information about going to talampaya park. It was very easy with a bus but it looked like THE girl from THE reception tried to let us go with a private driver (very expensive) by giving wrong information. We would recommend this hostel to stay in. 

Nice And clean hostel, a bit far from town

We only spent one night in this hostel. That was enough. The room was rather small, simple and just equipped with everything necessary but clean. The rooms are ringing and the air conditioning, which cannot be turned off, turned our room into a refrigerator in a short time. The staff were ok but no more. There are more hospitable places in Argentina! The breakfast was the worst in five months in South America.
