This property was not what I would call great. The Villa Vista room was decorated with lots of antiques and was in need of up dating. I had reserved this room specifically because it had air-conditioning and when we got there, the air conditioning was not working in the evening when we wanted to turn it on. We needed the AC to work because my husband has asthma and needs filtered air during sleep. We did Text the office number and got no reply to get the AC working. In the morning after staying one night the owner came in and found that the air conditioner had been unplugged. Also, the microwave had been unplugged. The place to plug was under a bureau with about a 2 inch space to get your hands under. We did not unplug it someone else had, and it had not been checked before the room was rented. I feel that this room needs an upgrade electrically. Also, there were odors in the room that were bad. In walking to the bathroom area the floor was not level which was a danger at night. The shower in the room was very hard to navigate since it was so small.  The drain had a little lip on it so you kept stepping into the drain which could be dangerous when it’s slippery and the water kept splashing in your eyes, since you couldn’t move the shower head much at all.  The breakfast there was very good well prepared and delicious. We had booked for three nights, but decided to leave since we didn’t feel comfortable there. We were not refunded any money for the other two nights.

Great place!!! Breakfasts are wonderful, beautiful room that had great attention to detal. Mark and Jennie were the best hosts , get to know them. They provided recommendations for restaurants, wineries, etc. This is the place to stay in a beautiful country setting!
 

Stay here!!!

We had a wonderful experience at this gorgeous B&B in the Yakima Valley. The owners were helpful and responsive, the breakfast was delicious, and the place is extremely charming. Great location for a getaway!

Great B&B in Washington wine country

I loved everything!!! It was beautiful, quiet, and restful. Can’t wait to go back. Breakfast was  delicious!!

If you want a one of a kind bed and breakfast experience then the Cozy rose Inn is where its at!!  Marc and Jennie are incredible hosts and provide a unique B&B experience.  My husband and I have stayed her many times throughout the last decade or so and we have never been disappointed.  The rooms are beautiful and well appointed, the food is delicious and plentiful, the service is top notch.  Most of all the owners are wonderful and fun to be around.   We will back as usual soon!!  

Visit to the Cozy Rose Inn

The inn was close to everything we were interested in (wine tasting). The room was luxurious, the host gracious, and the breakfast satisfying.

The secret garden room is lovely and was VERY clean.  The bed was extremely comfortable.  The breakfasts were excellent.  My fiancé, who usually declines breakfast ate every bite of his own, and some of mine, as well.  

However, a big problem, was the temperature of the shower water.   Owner, Mark, told us, at check-in that the handle turns with difficulty.  After being scalded, I managed to adjust the temp to tolerable for three minutes.  I would have asked to change rooms, but being freshly unpacked, and road weary, my fiancé said “no, let’s stay put.”  I opted for the bath for the next two days, while he managed three minute showers, before water was too hot for tolerance.  

We would have preferred not to have breakfast in our room.  The weather was chilly, and we felt cooped up. Part of the fun of B&B is meeting other travelers.  While some might like room service, I like going to a nice clean dining room, and being able to ask for seconds of juice, etc., and not having to get up and make more coffee with a Keurig.  

When we left, my fiancé informed owner, Mark, the water temp needs immediate attention, to which he responded “The plumber died.”   I draw the conclusion that Mark knew the water was uncomfortably hot, and really should have offered us a different room.  

So many pluses to our stay here, particularly the luxury of the bed, but enough other issues, that it balances to a three.

I am a woman of color. The owner's (Jennie's) first words to me when she saw me during breakfast were "Do you speak English?" in a judgmental tone. No other greeting. I was dumbfounded! I replied "Of course, what kind of question is that? Is that how you greet your guests?". She then became more aggressive and spoke to me in an insultingly condescending manner, slowly enunciating mundane words as if my vocabulary is limited. She claimed that she practices "Eastern Medicine" and stated that she wanted to "help" my husband "cure" his "chemical sensitivities". She has this odd perception that my husband is suffering from C.S. (her made up abbreviation for "chemical sensitivities") because he does not eat processed meat. To put in context, fried ham is what they offer for breakfast. 

The secret garden room where we stayed reeked of cigarettes. The carpets and drapery are filthy. The decor is cheap, tasteless and hideous. Mark (Jennie's spouse) checked us in the night before. I did not utter a word when he showed us our room because I was dizzy from the pungent smell of the room and Mark smelled like an old rag. He likely thought I did not speak English.

RACIST BUSINESS

We had a fabulous time at the Cozy Rose Inn.  The owners are friendly and accommodating.  I'm so happy that we chose the Suite Surrender Suite - even though it is in the main house it was completely private.  I chose it because the jacuzzi was the largest offered, and it was delightful.  We had a private table in their beautiful garden and enjoyed dinner there one evening.  The grounds are beautiful, and it was a treat to feed their horses and see the three week old colt.
In addition, we felt that this B & B was a great value.  How often do you get a delicious breakfast delivered to your room?  With flowers and candles?  
Our only complaint?  That we couldn't stay longer!
