The first time we stayed here was 1 year ago this month. when we leave tomorrow, it will be after our 3rd stay and we have already booked our 4th for December. We have stayed in many condos but this is the only one we feel as if we're staying in a close friends home. Everything is perfect. Beautiful furnishings, quality amenities, comfortable beds  and furniture. Exactly what you would choose for your own comfort in your own home. Oh, did I mention we're on the Beach with a private balcony? 
Love it!

B/day on the beach

Loved this condo. We stayed for a week and have no complaints at all. Check in and out was super simple. Beautiful beach view and easy access to the beach. The hall where the bathrooms are located smelled terrible the first couple of days but disappeared after that. Dillion with the chair service gave unbelievable customer service. He was always super friendly and accommodating. That has to be a hard job hauling those chairs around in the heat but to do it as well as he did with a smile on his face was really impressive.

Wonderful Condo

Overall, this condominium unit is nice with great views of the gulf. However, it lacks in some amenities. There is no poolside bar/snack bar and not really anywhere within walking distance of the building. If you want a less crowded beach experience, it's a great place to stay. Check out our blog!

Relaxing Place / Few Amenities

Was recommended but I would never use again. We paid 2500 for 4 nights to stay in a condo that smelled like dead fish. Sheets in the second bedroom had a pee stain in one bed. Hair in the other bed. My friend and I ended up sharing the master. Turned out the smell was from a broken garbage disposal. They fixed  that on Saturday but took until Sunday to get the smell out. There was a leak under the kitchen sink too along with a running toilet in the second bathroom. Part of the building on the right was under construction. Fitness room code did not work. The smell of pot coming from the property constantly was disgusting. We were speaking with a family from Minnesota on the beach and they also thought their unit was dirty and not up to par.

If you like the smell of dead fish and pot then 2E Echo Island is for you

My family and I stayed in 7D for several days for a vacation.  The ocean views can't be beat and the location beachside on Okaloosa Island is great!  But for the price, this is a very poor value; you're better off staying in the hotels just up Santa Rosa Blvd.
See the outrageous upcharges pricing at the bottom of this review.  So you think you're paying $195/night for a one-bedroom condo but you're not.  You're also paying amenity fees for an old swimming pool, no beach or pool towels, ONLY two rolls of toilet paper (yeah, they will not provide another roll, I was told to go buy my own toilet paper), no shampoo or conditioner, too few room towels (so they were soaking wet by the last day of vacation), no housekeeping service during the stay and you have to pay to rent the beach chairs and umbrella.  There was also no food available on the property.  The nearest was a Circle K five minutes away.  We were glad we opted for the pricy rental car.  VACASA texts you all the time, even to make sure you click on the link BEFORE the 10 a.m. checkout.  When I gave feedback about the bathroom supplies, I was just told to remember to take out my garbage and start the dishwasher when I left.  The coffeemaker was ancient with no coffee, sugar or salt/pepper in the condo to be had.  To its credit, the place was spotless and we loved our balcony view of the Gulf.  The king size mattress was nothing special and the bedroom has no window facing anything but the hallway.  We also needed at least one more blanket.  Skip any VACASA property including this one and try something else along the Okaloosa Island because the beaches are stunning and pristine.

This place had a superb location. It is litterally steps to the beach. No long walk with all of your belongings. It had an easy contactless code sent for check in & not alot of rules to read before check out. Coffee pot was great. Pods on one side & whole carafe on the other. I took a picture so that I can buy one for my own home. Plenty of towels with great water pressure in the shower. Comfy furniture that fit the beach theme inside & on balcony. Cable channels we plentiful. The only improvement I would recommend is getting a better mattress for the bedroom. It was uncomfortable. It was not firm or soft. Just odd. The sheets however were of great quality & very clean as was the entire condo. We did have to keep checking the fridge door though as it does not close easily. The kitchen also has too many plates for a condo that sleeps 4 and the dining table was a little big for the space. But the condo had a great beach feel and came with free umbrella & 2 beach chair set up on the beach. All in all, it was super clean & super cute with a spectacular view. Very relaxing. We enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend it.

Great Beach Bungalow 4M

I wanted to caution anyone considering this particular unit. 

We rented unit 6P for 3 nights and wound up packing our belongings and leaving after our 2nd night. The air conditioning unit is on the outside of the bedroom wall and was in need of service or replacement because it was SO LOUD we could not sleep. It would not only THUD so loud when turning on and off that it would shake the room, it also put out an increasingly loud and unbearable ringing noise. I was up all night as was my 3 year old. Anytime we actually managed to even fall asleep the THUD would startle us both awake again. It was awful. I have traveled a lot and have never experienced anything like this.  

Aside from the AC, the popcorn ceiling has met its expiration date as there is either mold (Or dust?) on the ceiling of the main living area and the ceiling is deteriorating above the shower. The drain was clogged and water was around our ankles the first time we showered. After falling the office , no one ever showed up to unclog it and my husband ended up using the provided plunger to remove a large clog of hair - really gross and unpleasant to have to do on your vacation. This fixed the tub drainage problem immediately. The sink was badly clogged as well. 

Other than these things, the condo itself was very clean and the decor was nice. No funny smells etc. The fridge was old but clean. The view of the gulf was beautiful. It was hard to really appreciate any of the good aspects being so sleep deprived and literally fueling our day at the beach with caffeine and sheer will (as us mamas usually do). We just couldn’t do another miserable night and we packed the car and drove home after dinner. 

Management was very kind and understanding and they did credit us for the 3rd night since we were leaving early  but it still ruined our much needed vacation. Like many families, we’ve had a tough 2020 (including our beloved 14 year old dog passing away 2 days before the trip). We were all looking forward to this short getaway and we spent whatever time we did have completely exhausted from being up all night. Some rest and relaxation would have been nice. Maybe next year.

Unit 6P

Booked through Airbnb. Said they would send me rental agreement and never did. Day of arrival no one knew how the family was supposed to get in after hours. I was sick and could not travel with them. Albeit national emergency but they do not make life easy for you. On hold for hours. No call backs   Much frustration. Try somewhere else. I hope they respond. Forget Wyndham and look for some other location. Major problem and not worth the worries or hassle for a vacation.
