Glen Wynne Gues House really clean and lovely room for the 3 of us.  We were greeted by Grant we were nervous with the door numbers as never done it this way before.  Normally go to hotels that have reception inside.  Big thank you to Grant he made our stay very relaxing giving us very useful information where to go and what was nearby.  Also we had a lovely surprise for my Sister’s 50th Birthday greeted with a Bottle of Prosecco Pringles Chocolates and 3 tins of Coke was so lovely.  Grant was a star ⭐ big thank you again.  We would definitely stay again 😊

great location, very clean and suited our needs! beautiful and close to the train station. we were well informed and looked after and the door worked well even without 24/7 reception. loved the area and windows, the toiletries were awesome and we even had a fan! did not have time to test the gym & health centre

Super location, loads of Lake District experiences close by.  Super clean and comfortable, tonnes of shops and restaurants on doorstop, I will definitely be back.  Loads of parking and Spa gym a real bonus, take cash for a locker key, £2.50,really worth it

I came across this property and it was attractive in the description & this did not change when I rocked up for my stay. It's secure, warm and to a high standard. Highly recommend and this will be my base for my future planned trips this area! I will be back!

This place is amazing! The attention to detail is outstanding! The facilities are fabulous. Incredibly clean and stylish. The location is amazing! Lots of parking and easy to walk into Windermere. The self check in works brilliantly. We loved it and cannot wait to go back!

Comfortable and clean. It’s in a great location too. The booking process was very simple. Self check was excellent.

Really lovely and clean. We stayed in the ‘Windermere’ room.everything was lovely , bed was clean and very comfortable nice fresh sheets and pillows. Tv with Netflix included, iron available , homely , top floor and lovely bathroom with great shower. 

Brilliant Location, very clean, towels very soft, bed comfy.  Electronic key safe access were utterly brilliant.  Breakfast room getting decorated so no breakfast but that didn't affect our stay. Would definitely recommend 

The owners of the guest house have saved our family holiday. We have booked somewhere else but after the first night there we decided not to stay there anymore due to it being a health and safety hazard. 
So I found Glen Wynne guest house and phoned the owner. He was very helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us in the family room. The room is absolutely spot on and what I call a luxury B&B. We had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy (just a bit too short for my tall other half). Also the walls and doors were thick so we didn’t hear any other guests. Everything was sparkling clean. The only downside - the pressure of the shower was basically non existing and it took ages for the shampoo to rinse out my hair but I guess this is us being on the top floor. Thank again for saving our holidays. We definitely will return

We stayed at the Glen Wynne in Windermere and managed to get a last minute booking which instantly kickstarted the holiday as the reviews were fantastic and made me feel very confident in the location I chose. I also needed somewhere dog friendly and this was perfect! The surrounding area is bursting with beautiful walks, we found a woodland walk on our first day which then lead us to the stunning Lake Windermere. The apartment was beautifully designed inside and was very clean and light, the bedroom was very comfortable and the shower interior is stunning! We even got a complimentary bottle of fizz for our arrival which was a very special touch and can’t thank Nick & Grant enough for being so accommodating and their communication was 10/10. A Late checkout offer was granted which was free of charge and we also got our own parking permit which was very useful and reassuring for the whole weekend we were staying. Thank you for making our trip a home away from home!

very beautiful and lovely stay

A little gem of a place!

I visited with the two kids- 12 and 15. The location was great close to Windermere and all local attractions.

Room was clean and tidy and just what we needed for our short break!!

The local cafe “Homeground” was Great for breakfast and I would highly recommend this guest house if visiting the Lakes!

Little Gem in Windermere..

We booked this last minute due to slightly unusual circumstances, I researched and saw the rave reviews and thought it was still a B&B, and then realised it is no longer a B&B as the owners changed around April 22 I believe. That said these were reasonablly priced rooms for Windermere, they were spotlessly clean, and finished to a really good standard. The hot water was plentiful and nice fluffy white quality towels. Both had TVs, Including all the channels such as Netflix. Kettle, tea coffee etc. (no fridge in case you are wanting one we didn't need one for a short stay) We were split as a family due to last minute booking availability and had Grasmere the double room and Rydal the single room both on the 1st floor. The only slight negative is that Grasmere was a really hot room even at the end October with the radiator off, and the double mattress was way too soft for my slightly dodgy back, so I opted for the single room Rydal which had a firm mattress and was nice and cool. Owners were on hand at the end of the phone if we needed anything, emails with instructions to access and places to see, go, eat, do. It was at the end of a quiet residential street right off the main street in Windermere, fantastic location. There was free parking along the road itself or nearby streets or there is a chargeable car park along the road also. (I think you don't pay at night until 8am) We would definitely recommend the place directly at the end of the road (next to sainsburys) for breakfast, and also the magic roundabout in Bowness for breakfast too. Both really gorgeous food although not cheap but as to be expected for the quality. Zefferillies in Ambleside is also highly recommended, it's an Italian restaurant and there is also a vegetarian restaurant and they have their own cinema, with around 60 seats per screen. They do a movie deal, with a 2 course mean for 27.75 and the food was excellent, and service was great too. Thank you to the owners of Aria estates, (looks like they have a few rental properties around Cumbria)

Saved our family holiday

Weekend break

We had a lovely one-night stay in the Coniston room which was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The room was really cosy due to heating being on which I really appreciated on a cold, damp day. Slept well in nice bedding and room was very quiet. We managed to find a parking space immediately outside the property but were advised that we could borrow a parking permit if needed. The guesthouse is perfectly located, in a quiet street but a few minutes walk from restaurants and cafes. We were glad of local advice, especially regarding restaurants as we had a lovely meal at Cafe Italiano which was recommmended to us. It was around a 20 minute very pleasant walk to lake at Bowness although it's only a few minutes drive or bus ride if you'd prefer to drive. Would be happy to come back here.

Clean and Cosy

This has to get a 5 star review on hospitality alone! Rich and Rob were so accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure that every guest was catered for and enjoyed their stay with them!  They would take the time to message us while out, to book us tables at the next place we would visit.   

The guest house was spotless and the breakfast was lovely!

I would highly recommend and we will be going back here.

Outstanding hospitality!

We have just spent 3 nights at this beautiful bed and breakfast. Centrally located for all that Windermere has to offer. Great restaurants within a 5 minute walk.
There is on street parking if you are lucky to find a space, it was busy when we arrived so we chose to park in the pay and display across the road at the bargain price of £17.50 for 3 days parking.
Rob and Rich are perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The level of service is the best we have experienced whilst staying in a bed and breakfast. Great suggestions for places to eat and even helped us to make restaurant bookings. 

Beautiful rooms, fabulous breakfasts, what more could you want.

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast

Rob and Rich made us feel extremely welcome. The room (Coniston) was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Full Cumbrian breakfasts meant lunches were not required, and most items on the menu were sourced locally. I really enjoyed the buttery scrambled egg and black pudding. 
We were given some really good ideas on places to visit in the area- thank you. Also their recommendations for dinner were ace!
