Thank you so much for your hospitality  hosts wonderful and very welcoming. Good location for anyone visiting Gretna or stop off if travelling further and need somewhere overnight. breakfast here amazing  with a great choice/selection. Would definitely recommend.

The room was very comfy, great shower and lovely breakfast.  Steve and Helen, the owners, are so friendly and helpful, taking time to make sure that you feel at home and that everything is good for you.

Truly felt as though you were a family guest rather than somebody just staying the night.

A wonderful b&b, exemplary room and amenities and excellent breakfast, even catering for a G/F diet was not a problem, with tasty GF sausages and toast on offer. Special mention for the delicious bacon.  Mine hosts were so welcoming and took time to chat with us, Best B&B we have stayed at.

I stayed at this lovely little b&b when my daughter and my now son-in-law got married. Helen and Stephen were so welcoming and could not do enough for me. They were so friendly and had some lovely chats with them at breakfast time.  The room was delightful, everything and more that you possibly could need. Super fresh smelling bedding, lots of tea and coffee to use, even wipes and hand sanitizer wipes too. Even a fan was provided which was a god send too. The shower was super powerful and everywhere was wonderfully clean. I stayed for two nights and the selection of breakfast choice was brilliant.  There is nothing I can even fault at all and I would recommend this little b&b to anyone.  I just wish I was staying longer.

One night stopover on our way home from Scotland. Fantastic welcoming hosts.  Spotless and comfortable room with powerful shower. Generous tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast choices are excellent and cooked to order. Centrally located and short walk to the  Blacksmiths. Highly recommended for any length of stay.  Lovely owners! 

Very welcoming and couldn't do enough to meet our needs.and wants.  The double room was.lovely and bed very comfortable. Welcome.tray had an excellent supply of tea, coffee, milk and extras.   Small fridge on landing with extra.milk and bottled water, lovely touch.  Spotlessly clean and amazing breakfast. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely hosts,homely,clean and comfortable accomodation plus a great breakfast what's not to love!
Another plus is it is a 5 min walk from The Blacksmiths Shop and Smith's Hotel.
Would  definitely recommend if you're in the area.


Stopped over on our way back to Cairnryan. We arrived exhausted at 10pm to a very warm welcome from Stephen. Helen had stayed on the phone to us to help us find our way in the dark. As it turns out, it’s easy to get to and so handy for the A75. We had originally planned to stay at a Premier Inn in Carlisle, but it’s far nicer staying in a small, homely, welcoming place and better value too, with breakfast included. Stephen makes the best poached eggs!

Had 2 couples from my wedding party staying at Rhone Villa and from what I have heard everything was great. Rooms clean and staff pleasant and helpful.  As I had a half 3 wedding they allowed for a 2pm check in as opposed to a 4pm which was very kind. Prices are great compared to nearby places and although I never stayed here personally, but from what I had heard and the dealings I had through booking I would highly recommend!! 

A red brick villa within easy distance of the Gretna Gateway centre and the famous Blacksmith's shop, Rhone Villa offers comfortable, if basic, accommodation.  An added bonus is the off road parking at the rear of the property.

The en suite rooms are simply, but comfortably furnished and the bathroom has a small but refreshing shower.  A TV, kettle and coffee making facilities are supplied.

In the morning a tasty, substantial breakfast is served by the friendly owners.

The only negative point is the proximity of the M74 motorway, but the rooms are adequately soundproofed. Overall, good value and highly recommended.

Basic comfortable B&B

This is a hundred year old home previously owned by Helen's grandfather.  She and Stephen have done a wonderful job of fixing it up and providing modern accommodations.  You have a choice of a double or two single beds, and our room had an ensuite.  There was even a small refrigerator outside the room stocked with water and milk for the coffee/tea provided in the room. Room was very clean and beds were comfy. And Stephen as chef, provided some tasty breakfasts.  We just had to tell him what we wanted, and when, and it was there!!! Stephen and Helen were most accommodating, catering to our every need.  They were great fun and we had many lively chats over breakfast.

We stayed here for one night to split our journey on our way home.  It is just off the road from the M6 and so easy to get to.
We parked up at the back of the house where there was ample parking space for our car.
Helen gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our room.  We filled in a registration form and a form for what time & what we wanted for a cooked breakfast (5 items).
The room was clean, had tea/coffee making facilities etc.
Breakfast was good, cooked freshly with plenty to eat.
Helen and Stephen were a very nice couple taking time to chat to us.
The price we paid for B&B was well worth it and would have no hesitation staying here again.
