The most wonderful stay, Hotel is immaculate, the breakfast was exceptional. But the Service Karen and Richard offer is the best I have ever experienced. They actually make you feel like family. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.

We were warmly greeted by Karen who was very friendly and welcoming. We received a kind upgrade and had a spacious, spotlessly clean room with a view to the sea. There was fabulous coffee in the room and complimentary chilled water. We received a parking permit which we could use in the designated zone though local car parks were reasonably priced and free overnight. We enjoyed a great choice of fresh fruits and yogurt whilst our hot breakfasts were freshly cooked to order. Great quality bacon and plenty of it. We were spoilt by the attention to detail and kind thoughts. We had wine glasses provided to our room without requesting them when it was clear we’d brought a bottle with us which has never happened in any other hotel we’ve visited.Weymouth was a lovely traditional seaside resort with plenty to do and we also took the chance to visit Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove nearby. We had a great couple of nights and would not hesitate to recommend The Clarence. True hospitality and exceptional hosts. Thank you both. Nicola & Matt

When in Weymouth - I strongly recommend this B&B. Great location, very nice rooms, the best breakfast and we loved the couple who runs it. Karen and her  husband are super friendly and gives you the very best hotel experience. 

Don’t forget to order something cooked from the breakfast menu - super tasty.

Personel and Excellent B&B

So I spent two nights in a generous single room, very clean, very comfortable and a fabulous breakfast. The hostess is very friendly and welcoming- I will definitely book this again for next years Tankfest. The location is Central and with in walking distance of restaurants and pubs - highly recommended

Family atmosphere, wonderful hosts, room clean and very well equipped, breakfast cooked to perfection. Stayed in a lot of hotels and this one is up there with the best. Could not have been made to feel more welcome. Karen and Richard are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Quality and attention to detail on every aspect of the stay. Thank you so much for making our trip to Weymouth so special.

Just spent a fabulous 3 nights at The Clarence and cannot fault it in any way. Parking on arrival was very easy and Richard was ready and waiting with the permit, check-in was smooth, the room was clean with excellent high quality amenities, refreshed daily and a lot of attention to detail is evident in the layout and service provided. The  Clarence is in an excellent location for both the harbour and the town. Karen and Richard provide a good range of breakfast options and go out of their way to provide a welcoming family atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble. Excellent hosts and fantastic value for money, and we would highly recommend to all.

Located in an excellent position close to harbour, beach, pubs and restaurants. A beautifully clean B&B with excellent facilities. The breakfast choices and quality were excellent. The proprietors, Karen and Richard, could not have done enough for us. They were excellent hosts. I would thoroughly recommend The Clarence for a pleasant stay in Weymouth.

Room was very clean and tidy. More than enough space for the two of us. Tea and coffee making machine in the room, as well as a mini fridge, which was unexpected, but very welcome. A variety of breakfast items are available as well as an option for full english. Hosts Richard and Karen were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again, and would thouroughly recommend staying at The Clarence.

This place is an absolute gem... just returned home from a long weekend here and I can honestly say it was faultless from the moment we made our booking, we were greeted by Richard on arrival, a lovely man and fantastic chef !! We were shown to out room which was very spacious, spotless & beautifully presented with everything you'd need, we also met Karen who is as equally as lovely as Richard. Nothin was too much trouble, the breakfast is practically your choice from cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, orange / apple juice, tea, coffee and a choice from the cooked menu, we went for a tradition english and it didn't disappoint quality produce, full of taste it actually kept us full all day.
I honestly cannot recommend this place enough !! Great location, great house, great hosts but don't just take my word for it check it out for yourselves whether it be 1 or 2 nights you'll be glad you did.
We can't wait to go back !!! 

An absolute gem !!! 

Wow what a “fantastic” stay at The Clarence. Karen and Richard are the most amazing, hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. 
Our room (2) was spacious, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. 
Everything in the room is high quality, from the comfy bed to the Molton brown toiletries. 
We had a masterclass in using the coffee machine and we even received a certificate 😊 
They also kindly gave us a compliment bottle of bubbly to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and Richard made the best poached eggs ever!
The Hotel is very central to all attractions in Weymouth, but is very quiet and peaceful. 
We left as friends and will be returning!!!!!!!!!

Another fabulous stay at The Clarence. It is consistently outstanding. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean. Karen and Richard are amazing hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfasts are the best I’ve ever had with a range of options, including a great vegetarian breakfast. The Clarence is in an ideal location to explore Weymouth and the surrounding area. The harbour quayside is round the corner and the seafront promenade and beach at the front of the hotel. Great bars and restaurants are therefore within easy walking distance. The only problem is that we never want to leave. Highly, highly recommended.
