Been here loads if times, dave and Andrea are fantastic hosts,  always find time to speak to you.. always ask what I am doing and where am going for dinner. I always take photos of dinner and show they at breakfast time to make them jealous.  The room is always perfect and so is en suite . Breakfast is always good. They also have a guest lounge which is open until 2000hrs . Hence why I always come back here.

What a beautiful place to stay highly recommended the hosts were absolutely lovely,the room was so clean,the breakfast say no more best breakfast ever we will only stay here no where else,all being well back October this year for sure just like to say thanku x

This is the second time myself and my mum (whom in her early80’s and won’t appreciate me saying so 😊) have stayed with Dave & Andrea. We have stayed in room number 5 beautiful room absolutely perfect for us. I don’t do breakfast but mum does so first time stayed I was apprehensive mum going down alone (breakfast is optional extra fantastic idea) but I was absolutely so very greatful that Dave and Andrea made my mum so comfortable and included like part of a family I never had to worry again 🥰 we was so looked after on the first visit their was no doubt in our minds we would stay again so in August we stayed again. Myself and my mum cannot fault anything it’s absolutely immaculately clean and Dave and Andrea are the perfect hosts and cannot do enough for you. They go above and beyond and make you feel like a part of the family. I cannot thank them enough for all their care especially for my mum . I can’t put into enough words how special The Brakenhurst is due to Dave and Andrea the location is ideal few minutes walk into town and all local amenities, if you do want a quiet spot just sit outside The Brackenhurst in the beautiful little garden x we will be back x mum says their breakfast is the best she has ever had thank you Dave & Andrea for everything you do to make your guests feel welcome and special xxx

Second time back to the Brackenhurst and it didn’t disappoint the hotel is absolutely spotless, it’s so friendly and made to feel extremely welcome, Dave has mini vintage museum for the guests to reminisce over days gone by I certainly was took back to my childhood with the old toys and sweets. 
Dave and Andrea are a great couple and will make you feel like part of there family but book early they are very popular thanks again both for the great weekend and see very soon

Been here b4, as always dave and Andrea are always great hosts,  hence why I keep coming back, they look after me and other guests the same.  Always have time to chat. Me and my mum who is in her young 80’s has just had 5 nights here. We cannot express enough how absolutely over whelmed we was with David and Andrea’s hospitality from initial booking to stay and saying goodbye. We have stayed and owned a caravan in Skegness for well over 20 years now we have found this absolutely gem of a place we will be staying every time possible. It is absolutely spotlessly clean. I dont do breakfast but mum does she said it was absolutely amazing and like an all day breakfast as she couldn’t eat anything else all day. Thank you for helping to make precious memories xxxx

If you're looking for a guest house in Skegness you won't find anywhere better than the Brackenhurst. It's in a great location, just a short stroll to the centre and the clock tower. The hosts, Dave and Andrea, are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is spotlessly clean throughout. We stayed in Room 5 which is spacious, tastefully furnished with plenty of storage space. As well as tea, coffee and biscuits, water is replenished daily and hand wash/shower gel available in the bathroom. They even provided me with a mini fridge for the room to keep my soya milk chilled! The breakfast room is delightful with its seaside theme and the breakfast is cooked to perfection with top quality ingredients. All in all the Brackenhurst is an absolute gem and we cannot fault it. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Skegness.

Great place and great location

Holiday 

We had a couple of days break in Skegness last week, and stayed at the Brackenhurst in Drummond Road. It seems we were lucky to get in, as we were told by another hotelier that the annual bowls final was on that week, and most of the hotels had been booked up well in advance. 

Dave and Andrea are very welcoming, and if you're into retro in any way shape or form, Dave will likely be happy to talk for hours on the subject. 

We had a ground floor room (no 10), and while it was convenient (no stairs), in fairness it wasn't the biggest room that we've ever stayed in, but neither was it the smallest. The whole place was very clean and the room well equipped, with the usual tea and coffee making facilities and complementary biscuits included in the price. 

There are three parking spaces at the front, and another at the back. Not sure if that means one for every room (probably best to check), but free street parking is available too, so that shouldn't be an issue. One thing I can definitely recommend is the best Italian Restaurant we have found to date - anywhere. Tarantino's is just two minutes walk along Drummond Road, serving easily the best fillet steak and pastas we have had anywhere. Don't forget to book though - it gets very busy. 

But I digress. 
Back to Brackenhurst. 
The bed was comfortable and the shower room was fairly spacious, and hand wash and shampoo were provided. 

There was a flat screen TV on the wall which did the job well enough, although it was a little small compared with what we are used to. Also would have been nice if we could have logged in to Netflix, but I suppose you can't have everything, and in truth we didn't go there to watch TV ;) 

Another minor gripe was there was probably a bit too much furniture in the room during our stay. There were two comfortable armchairs, one of which was always in the way of the wardrobe doors. Also, there was a small table which we felt was a bit 'in the way' most of the time too, neither of which we felt were really necessary. Sadly, this made the room feel a little cramped. 

We opted for a stay without breakfast included, as we generally tend to go off and do our own thing. The cost was reasonable for what is generally on offer in the area, and anyone who knows Skegness will know that Drummond Road is handy for the town - only a few minutes walk to the centre. 

So, all in all, a very pleasant stay, and good value for what was on offer.

Fantastic a Gem of a find

The best guest house in Skegness

Lovely clean comfortable room, breakfast was extra but well worth it. Hosts Andrea and Dave were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Guest house was in walking distance of the main shopping area, restaurants and beach.
Nice little extra feature was the small display of nostalgic items mainly from the 70's and 80's which bought back many memories.
