The staff here are very rude indeed, I have never experienced such bad service. The have formed a clique and are uninterested in the guests.
The noise from the pub downstairs is loud untill early hours, but at least earplugs are provided.
It is worth paying extra to stay in a hotel than be treated as badly as that by the staff.

Unsociable staff

I stayed here for £13/night.

With the other rooms going for £20 and up, that's getting very steep for the quality of the beds, how packed they are & how pitiful the pillows are.

Furthermore, during this time of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the staff allowed large groups of people to party and drink together throughout Fri/Sat/Sun nights, with me only being able to stay away from them by hiding in the corner

Also, one oven was broken & the other took over 30 mins to get hotter than 100°. It did not make for a good dinner. More than 60% of the cupboard and fridge spaces are reserved for the staff for some reason, meaning a hostile of atleast 50 beds are sharing 2 waist high fridges and a couple of kitchen cupboards. 

The kitchen is locked at 11pm and not opened until 7am
...Great for me, who was getting back around that closing time, and then told off for taking that food to my bedroom, which some of was ultimately taken by the guests or staff when I didn't take all of it with me in the morning and couldn't leave it in the kitchen because it wasn't going to be unlocked for another half hour after I needed to leave each day

Even this cheap, you still don't get what you pay for

Excellent hostel. Superb atmosphere and super friendly and helpful staff. 
Real good vibes! Lots of in-house activities. 
Great central location. The Ashmolean museum, which is free, is only 7 minutes walk away.

Hostel well located, close to the centre and the train and bus station. The rooms are well closed, with few windows. The service is good and the bathrooms reasonable. It's worth the cost-benefit, but don't wait too long.

Reasonable

For the price it's okay but not so clean and they only have 3 showers for all women. The location is great!I'd say for two or three nights it's perfect but not for any longer

Was a really nice atmosphere in the hostel with a cool bar and super friendly staff. The bathrooms were very clean too, alongside our room which always smelt fresh. The free breakfast service was awesome too (and a money saver), as well as the cheap & convenient laundry service the hostel offered. Was also in a super nice location along the canal and just a few minutes walk to the centre. Very affordable and satisfied and will be staying here again on my next visit.

The location is good.The staff is nice and helpful.The breakfast is lovely,  the kitchen is good. The public place is good.But the room is a little bit too crowded for 10 people, i think that room is maximum for 8 people only.Only small locker in the room, so everyone can only put their luggage on the floor and make it more crowed.Only one power bar share between 4 bed on the floor. it is hard for the upper bed traveler to charge their phone.

The location is very good, it is accessible by bus and taxi. The train station is nearby and the rooms are neat

Happy people

The dorms and bathrooms are fine. Lockers available with a deposit, this is given back to you when checking out. Small but clean&tidy kitchen. There is also laundry service (4GBP/bag). The in-hostel bar is opened in the evening. The best feature is probably the location, as they are 5min walk from the city centre.
