Yet again another wonderful stay with Deana and Mike, friendly welcome with a pot of tea perfect after a long day in the New forest, the room was clean and tidy, the breakfast is excellent, can recommend the full English, nothing is to much trouble. Thanks again Deana and remind Mike when the clocks change !!

Great stay

My review is ONLY about the customer service I received, I have no comment regarding location/facilities/service.

I booked a room around noon today, online. I wanted somewhere to crash near the New Forest and other places had too high prices or clearly stated that they required a minimum stay of 2 nights. I was planning on staying for one night only and, judging by the pictures, it looked like a good deal, even considering the single occupancy charge, which brought the price from 35£ to 50£.

The booking went on without a glitch, I even had a reference number. At 4pm I phoned, wanting to let them know what time I was planning on being there. No answer. I tried again at 5.30 and the person I spoke to said (a little rudely, if I may add) that they could not have me for the night, as they do not do one night stays. To be fair, they had sent me an email, but, as I was travelling, I had not checked past the booking confirmation. I naively thought they would have phoned me, had there been a problem. When I asked him if he could recommend another place to stay in the area, he replied “I don’t know, look online. Booking.com is quite good.”

Because I believe in constructive criticism, I would like to finish my review with a few suggestions for the owners of Havenhurst House.

1. If you have a minimum 2 nights policy, you may want to make sure if is well specified on the internet platforms you use.

2. If you cannot accept a booking that someone made online, calling them is kinder than sending an email. Especially if the timing is tight.

3. Why a 2 nights minimum policy?

4. Even if you think the person at the other end of the line is a complete imbecile, a little bit of courtesy would go a long way. Even someone who does not work in hospitality knows that...

I personally do not think I will consider again staying at Havenhurst House.

Yet another great stay at Havenhurst, Deana and Mike make you so welcome, Room first class all you could ask for, en-suite bathroom superb, tea and coffee making facilities, even hot chocolate and biscuits, breakfast spot on excellent quality, Thanks again you two.

Lovely house, our room was lovely, very spacious room decor was nice, the room had every thing you needed, tea, coffe, hot chocolate, herbal, detail was great, even had bath robes, and slippers if you needed them in your wardrobe. our room was not ensuite but our private bathroom was great, towels lovely and soft, breakfast was very good. As a matter of fact I would say it is the best b&b I have stayed in. 
As for Deana & Mike well what a lovely couple.

Yet again another excellent stay at Havenhurst, Deana and Mike are great hosts, making you feel very welcome, the room was great, clean and well supplied with hot drinks etc. the breakfast perfect to set you up for the day. Thanks once again for a superb visit.

Simply the best

B&B located outside the city centre, on the A337 towards New Milton, easy to find. The 3 bedrooms are on the ground floor. Spacious, with a remarkable bed, they invite to rest. And neither traffic (1 room is located on the street side) nor the simple curtain (no curtains in England) prevents a relaxing night. For geeks, think of coming with an extended multi-purpose, 2 well-equipped rooms being installed on the ground floor (2 m from the hotel!;-) impeccable cleanliness, the room is packed and the bed is repaired every day.

Very pleasant stay in the main coastal town of the beautiful New Forest.

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, with beautiful wooden furniture and high quality bedding. Two rooms are second with showers and the 3rd has a private bathroom right next to the room, with a bubble bathroom. One of the two second rooms is on the front of the house (with a view to the Isle of Wight! ), so we hear slightly the noise of traffic on the street, but there is nothing to do with it. The two rooms are also on the English side of the road, so the absolute proof of the fact that the elected officials, who have been very kind to us, have been in the garden of the house, and have given us a great deal of advice.

On top of everything, the quality/price ratio is exceptional!

We spent two nights in Havenhurst House during our tour of South Australia, enjoying every minute of it. We stayed in a very large room with a private bathroom and garden view. The breakfast was exceptionally good, especially the fresh selection of fruit. The hosts were also very kind and helpful. Lymington itself is a good starting point for a trip to the Isle of Wight or the New Forest.

Unwillingly Happy

The BB is located in a large and very beautiful house, new rooms, well furnished and carefully maintained, definitely very welcoming. The hostess is also very kind and friendly. Great reception, quiet, very clean. This BB is an excellent base for a visit, even during the day, to the Isle of Wight.
