Pencubitt Country House

To describe Pencubitt House I can do no better than quote the friends we stayed there with. "It was a beautiful place, the food was exceptional and owners just like old friends. They knew the guests by their first names and quickly learnt their preferences, our stay was wonderful. Definitely returning next year, if not sooner." This is a quite extraordinary place to stay. Patrick and Julie made us instantly feel at home. The house and its grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The rooms are lovely with very comfortable beds and the whole place is spotlessly clean. The food that Patrick lovingly prepares each day was delicious on all 5 evenings of our stay and the breakfasts were the best we have had in any hotel anywhere. The two guest lounges we lovely places to sit and either look at the views, read a book or play card/board games with our friends. The complimentary tea/coffee making facilities in one lounge including cakes were an excellent touch. For those that like or need it the WiFi was fast and there was an excellent large flat screen TV in our room. Incredibly good value for money, we have stayed in places more than twice the price that are not half as good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a pace to stay while visiting such places as The Eden Project, Tintagel, Heligan Gardens or almost anywhere in Cornwall.
