The Horse and Jockey

We booked a couple of rooms last minute as we were attending an event at the Motorpoint arena in Nottingham. Only 15/20 minute drive so great location if you want a reasonable stay outside of Nottingham city centre. Also Lidl and Wetherspoon’s both a 10 minute walk away. The hotel/ pub itself was great. The rooms were clean and the shared bathrooms weren’t as bad as they sounded. The rooms came equipped with kettle and fridge which were handy and the bed was very comfy. The only few minor complaints we had was that there was only 1 plug socket in the room we could use so charging multiple phones/watches etc was difficult. Our room was also above the outdoor area and we struggled getting to sleep with the noise of people chatting loudly and bottles being thrown into the bins until midnight. The showers weren’t very powerful either, especially if you need to wash your hair. We had to leave at 6 in the morning so the key box on exit and the gate with the entry code to enter was great as it made it quick and easy to leave. Overall a lovely stay, great location, just what we needed.
