Just got back from a couple of days away in Harrogate for my birthday. This place is ideally situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of town, so once parked right outside, no need to use the car again until we left. Our hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, sharing their recommendations for places to see and eat at. Highly recommended. 

Great location and friendly hosts

We had a very warm welcome from the hosts and we stayed in room 1 which was spacious, spotlessly clean with a good size shower room. It was nice to have a mini fridge with fresh milk and water provided.
Breakfasts were locally sourced with a good choice and plentiful.
The location was great with a short walk into town where there was a really good choice of bars and restaurants

A good Yorkshire welcome

Our hosts were very friendly and most welcoming. The room was a great size, lovely comfy bed with a good sized en suite shower room.  There were several extra touches, such as fresh fruit and flowers with  fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge (in glass bottles, no plastic here). The tea tray was well stocked, and who’s not going to love a host who leaves Jaffa Cakes for you to enjoy????   Breakfast choices were varied and freshly cooked to order.  Easy walk into the town centre. All in all, I can’t recommend this B&B highly enough and I’d certainly stay here again.

Welcoming B&B

Arrived and was welcomed by host. Room very comfortable with en suite and an added bonus of a fridge. Tea and coffee facilities topped up daily with fresh milk in fridge. Toiletries provided. Fire stick for tv if you have time to watch it!
Bed comfortable. Hot water bottle provided if needed. 
2 minute walk to town. Permit provided for car parking.
Breakfast amazing using local produce. Plenty to eat and delicious.

Trip for birthday

Wonderful hosts (Marilyn/Des) looked after us very well & welcomed us into their beautiful home. Early check in no issue at all so we could enjoy almost the whole day  which was ideal for us. The breakfast is freshly made although ordered the night before (no problems for us) & was very fresh with excellent ingredients of the highest quality. We stayed in room 2 which is spacious & very authentic with good decoration,there are a few stairs as it is the second floor but that did not effect us but ask her when you book about the stairs if you have any mobility issues. Marilyn thank you so much for the welcome into your home & we will see you again.  Date of our stay was Fri 12th to Sun 14th August 2022.

Lovely old building close to Centre.

After cleaning a very dirty remote neither me or the owner could get the tv working.  I would never book a room without a TV.
When I booked the room I was I could check in early provided I let them know. I emailed the day before arriving advising I would be there at 11am. When I arrived I was told I couldn't check in til 3pm!

No tv

We have just come back from a lovely weekend away in Harrogate. Staying  at 16 Franklin. The B&B was really lovely. We were greeted by Marilyn who made us feel at home. The room was so really big and I had the best night sleep in the most comfortable bed. Everything was spotless. Our breakfast was made fresh and it was delicious.

Fantastic Stay

Delightful. Marilyn is a lovely, lovely woman who can't do enough for you. She really takes pride in what she does. Totally spick and span. Lovely breakfast and will tweak if she can. Loads of little photos and objects for you to look at which makes it a very interesting place. I can't speak highly enough about this place or the owner. We go to Harrogate every year for the G&S Festival and if 16 Franklin is available, we shall definitely be staying there. We like to try different places but when you find someone and somewhere like this, there is no reason to.

A really warm welcome on our arrival . Room was lovely , great shower ! The room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. Bowl of fruit and even a mini fridge in the room . Breakfast was  perfect , lovely sausages :) 
Would 100 percent stay again and would recommend this place to anyone visiting Harrogate .
