The Orchard B&B

Trout cottage B&B is the most wonderful hidden gem. We stayed for two nights for our 1st wedding anniversary and walked some of the Brecon Beacons, enjoyed the local pubs and had a rest. Hosts Andrea and David are accommodating and friendly, but not overbearing. They chatted to us and shared their home, including their beautiful dog Mojo and cats/kittens, but were also respectful of our space and allowed us to have our quiet independence. Bed was comfortable and amenities were way above par (including homemade soap!). The provided spaces (lounge, bedroom, conservatory) were spacious and homely, and it was heaven to come back to a good book in the lounge in front of a log burner with a glass of wine after a long walk. Breakfast each morning was extraordinary. Local venison sausages, duck eggs from their ducks, homemade preserves and yoghurt - all of fantastic quality and presented well. I couldn't recommend Trout Cottage enough, it's a perfect relaxing getaway with lovely and conscientious hosts.
