It's the forth time we've stayed here and the second time in the arc pod. Surround by beautiful scenery and we were lucky enough to see a deer outside our cabin window. Lovely cosy cabin, we will definitely be back again. Well worth the 4 hour journey.

This is our 3rd time staying at Huntersmoon lodges we had a lovely relaxing 2 days away for my fiancée’s birthday. The lodge magpie 6 was lovely perfect get away even the dog had a great time! We will be booking to come back again this august.

I truly couldn't recommend this place more...we came at Xmas to introduce our new baby to the family and instantly rebooked to come back again this march..same lodge aswell.
The lodge is fantastic, everything you need, spacious, clean and it's in such a fantastic location.
We all loved waking up early and just watching the woodpeckers, deer etc... 
We really can't wait to come back again and again as our girl grows.

My husband booked a 3 night stay here for my Birthday, we’ve both had a great time! Cabin was clean and tidy on arrival and had more than we needed (we’ve camped many a time so always pack more than we need). 
Pub nearby serves excellent food and kitchen and utensils provided are more than adequate to make your own food as well. Plenty to do in the area within a stones throw and a hot tub to enjoy if you fancy staying in - rain didn’t put us off! 
Overall, it’s quiet, relaxing and is what you make it.
I’m writing here because I didn’t have a pen to write in the book which was left in the cabin unfortunately!

Perfect family weekend away! Me, my partner and our two little girls went here in December as a mini break in the run up to Christmas and it was amazing. It wasn’t too far away from where we live but we could have been a million miles away from home - the girls loved seeing the wildlife around the lodges and me and my partner loved how peaceful it was. I can honestly say I did not think I would ever be in a hot tub at night in December but being sat under the stars in a hot tub with the owls hooting in the background was beyond perfect! The lodges were surprisingly roomy with plenty of storage to keep all of our belongings and being able to park outside the lodge itself made trips to and from the car so much easier. The decor was beautiful and extremely homely which made us all feel so much more comfortable during our stay. Everyone one of us was gutted when it was time for us to depart but I can definitely say that we will be back.

We stayed in otter 4 cabin. The hot tub was overlooking the lovely lake.. Such a beautiful place. The lodge was beautiful and clean. We had no problems at all. We took our dog too. Just passed the lodge up the lane and on the right is a lovely field our dog can run off his lead.

Having just returned from 4 nights here it has been a wonderful relaxing time. The lodge itself had everything we needed and the added attraction of a hot tub just made it perfect. My husband enjoyed the opportunity to fish the lake which despite frequent showers he managed thatch several fish.

Honestly worth every penny!!! Absolutely stunning place. The lodge was very cosy and spacious, also clean and tidy. Was kind of worried being self catering of what we would need as we've never done this before, but It had everything we needed from cutlery, pot and pans, all kitchen utensils and broom ect.

Hot tub was amazing and we spent hours in there Star gazing at night. Couldn't beat waking up and having a cuppa on the balcony listening to the wildlife around you!!

They have an on site restaurant and bar which the food was beautiful and generally couldn't fault it at all.

All in all we would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!!

Lovely little setting ,we really enjoyed our 2 night stay. We stayed in otter 2 and had everything we needed, please remember it is self catering so you do need your own tea , coffee etc. Bed was comfy, hot tub was lush , only one issue was the shower didn't drain very well. Otherwise no issues . 

Great place to relax, walk and generally chill. Clean tidy and great area. Have been here a few times and really enjoyed our stays. The Lodge is also a lovely place to eat must try on both.
Quite and hot tubs private and lovely just what you need to relax.

The location was perfect - quiet and peaceful. The hot tub with our lodge was amazing and the perfect spot to unwind . The lodge itself is very well laid out - bed comfortable - shower really good - sofas lovely to crash onto - watch tv and have a glass of wine. The lodge was lovely and warm.
However as previous visitors have mentioned in reviews and in the guest book at the lodge - the lodge needs a good deep clean and also a good dust everywhere. The kitchen equipment is very basic and no 2 glasses matched !! Also a basic welcome patch would have been appreciated - small milk - few tea bags and coffee sachets ! Fortunately whenever we go away to self catering places I always take tea /coffee etc and loo rolls ( the lodge only had a partially used loo role supplied ) also toiletries were the smallest I have ever seen ( again we had taken our own shampoo etc)
We did get the wifi code but could never connect . On the second night all the main tv channels failed .  
The whole site appears to need a bit of tlc as it has such great potential as ideal location to travel out from . Let’s hope they go from strength to strength.

We booked 2 nights in beaver 1 for our wedding anniversary,  after reading the reviews I thought we had made a mistake. Let me address some of the negative comments. 
The kitchen,  bathroom and bed were all clean,  ok some surfaces were a little dusty, the windows could do with a clean the walls in the bathroom could do with a wipe but overall not as bad as some reviews made out.
The hot tub is a proper one not inflatable like some of the pictures show, occupants are requested to drain tub on leaving (not a big ask). 
There is bath towel and face towel for each occupant,  soap shampoo and shower gel,  sponge cloth, tea towel and washing up liquid. 
On arrival we saw a heron,  at breakfast an otter,  owl hoots in the evening lots of squirrels and birds, the lake is very overgrown with pond weed to the point where I would be worried if a child would know where the grass ends and the lake begins. 
On our last night while relaxing in hot tub one of the neighbour's decided to have a gathering playing music loudly, singing (if you can call it that), swearing this went on from 9 until 12.30 very inconsiderate,  i.t says in the roles this will not be accepted but there is no one on site to monitor it.
Over all we had a nice cosy break away, it's a good site with a lot of potential but unfortunately missing the mark at the moment. 

Internet was patchy good enough for browsing and music but not for streaming movies. 

In handover book there are a lot of requests for a shelf in the bathroom would be an easy fix. 

We popped in the lodge for a drink very nice. 

Had a meal at la campgna (10 minute drive away) awesome.


Good but has potential to be more.

We went here for my partner’s birthday and had a lovely weekend. They put some birthday balloons up in the room which I asked for which made it special. The lodge was nice apart from a few details - only one wine glass (for a couples lodge), no hot water when the heating is on (this is not detailed anywhere so we thought something had gone wrong. We called the number and someone came out to us in about 15 minutes to sort), wifi doesn’t work, can’t see tv from bed, a bit tatty here and there.
They hold parties at the main lodge which they really ought to tell you about as it’s very loud. 
We had a lovely time in the hot tub and ended up staying at the lodge during the days despite originally having plans. On the Saturday evening we walked into town which was about 20 minutes.
We stayed in otter 3. The lodges are nice but I wouldn’t call them luxury which is what they are described as. We had a great time though and would return.

Beautiful location however the river/pond is completely green. Not like the images shown online 
The lodges themselves were filthy. 
It has such potential but unfortunately isn’t looked after enough. 
The hot tubs are supposed to be emptied every night/stay however me and my partner stayed 3 nights in 2 different lodges and we didn’t see them emptied at all.. 
there looked like they had one cleaner to do all lodges so it’s no surprise that the cleanliness isn’t up to scratch. They need more staff.

I asked to swap lodge as the “hideaway” was available online when I checked in & the cleaner said she would get back to me & then left without informing me one way or another. 

It’s a nice place, close to Longleat but needs improving and better communication
