Until a few weeks ago, I never realised that the Chinese restaurant Chi, in Kenton, delivered to Starcross.  We have had a couple of meals since and they have been absolutely beautiful.  I wouldn't normally say on here but their food, in my eyes, deserves the praise.

Can only say wow they really went over and above to help one of us had to have special requirements and they could not have been more helpful, the food was amazing which made the evening amazing green Thai chicken out of this world

This is our second trip to this area and we love it. We enjoy trying new places and experiences and this is by far the best we have had yet. The staff couldn’t be more attentive and even catered to one of our party who couldn’t eat any solid food. Absolutely amazing experience and will be coming back again with no doubt.

Had a friend come over to stay so we booked a table for 4. When we arrived we found the restaurant to be very tastefully decorated for Valentines night. The staff were friendly and service was good. The food was excellent and it was the first time we had bought our guests here and she loved it, as do all our guests we bring. Cannot fault the whole experience and already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you....

My wife and son went here again this time for his birthday meal. As usual the staff are very friendly and even though there were only two other couples ( it was midweek) the atmosphere was good. The food was very tasty as you expect. Will be back again.

We have been to this restaurant a few times and we can truly say the food is good BUT better than that the staff are amazing , friendly and attentive.
We would very much recommend a visit to any one who like Chinese food.

Big THANK YOU once again to Stephen and Sui and team for another special  evening at the Chi.  My family really appreciate beautifully cooked, flavoursome food and we are often disappointed when we go out.  But never at the Chi.  We've been going there for special occasions and family celebrations since they opened 12 years ago and they have never let us down.  The restaurant is beautiful, the food is so delicious and the staff are friendly and efficient.  We really appreciate all the hard work Stephen and Sui put into the Chi and we consider ourselves very lucky to have a Chinese restaurant of this calibre so close to home.

A MASSIVE Thank you to all at Chi for last nights celebration of our daugthers 30th Birthday, The food was FANTASTIC the staff were FABULOUS nothing was too much trouble, can't thank you all enough for making her party a very special day.
Would highly recommend you try Chi out for your special celebration or a lovely Chinese meal, simply wonderful.

 Upon opening the front door you will see the 5 star hygiene rating which to me was the first step to a good night.Once inside through a round window at reception you can see the kitchen staff working and cleaning.We were seated at the table ( which is very welcoming and clean with very low back ground music ) with a very friendly waitress and ordered drinks whilst reading the menu prawn crackers and seaweed were brought to our table,what a lovely touch.
We ordered set menu for 4 people,the starters arrived each and every one had their own flavour and were home made,around the table everyone was more than satisfied,so we thought starters great, what is the main going to be like,all in this oriental red sauce with one flavour.No,to our delight each was made with their own sauce they all had their own flavours and cooked to perfection,the staff were readably available and were refilling the rice bowls,once again we could not believe our luck,everything so far was perfect. More wine was ordered,excellent bottle,and were asked if we would like to have a breather befor dessert,once again trying to please our evening  when the desserts arrived it was once again faultless,Sui then brought us mint chocolates with hot wet wipes and asked if we wanted jasmine tea. 
All I can say is well done to everyone at the CHI  RESTUARANT and a very big thank you to SUI  , we will be back , and anyone reading this please go and enjoy a wonderful Oriental culinary experience.


Chi's is the converted village inn. The bars are now a restaurant, the staff are welcoming and efficient. The food is great a real pleasure to eat here.

The rooms are kind of an addendum to the business. They are clean and comfortable, with the character that comes from a 200 year old building. It's not a full service hotel, I love the service and the character of the place.

I stayed here a couple of times in the summer and would happily stay again.

ALWAYS WONDERFUL FOOD AND GOOD, FRIENDLY SERVICE

We had spur of the moment guests coming down to see us and asked if we could book the Chi. We managed to get a table and as usual the staff were very friendly and the
food was very tasteful. Service was a bit on the slow side on this visit, (clearing up after courses and seeing if we wanted deserts) although there were pleanty of staff.
Will be back soon that is for sure.
