Portobello Guest House

Stayed her on the penultimate night of the Edinburgh Tattoo, after a long drive up from Norwich, we were greeted by I am presuming the owner. Who showed us round, showed us to our room and gave us the keys to both the bedroom and the front door. We went out, came home around about 11:30pm. The mini driveway was full and had 3 cars in it, two parked considerately one parked like a twit. So we had to park on the road, we managed to find a space literally 4 doors down. The room itself was well equipt with TV, sink, Tea and Coffee making facilities. It also had wifi. To be honest I didn't use it as I was so tired but the time I came home. I went straight to sleep. The bed was comfy for me, and I slept like a log. The bathroom was right next to the room, and was shared with other people from the landing. This was clean and tidy, and I couldn't find fault with anything. There was breakfast in the morning, only we didn't have time to stay, but from what I could see there was cereals and juices and possibly something cooked (but that is guess work!). On the whole would recommend staying here, at the end of the day its a Bed And Breakfast NOT a hotel. The carpet on the stairs is a bit dodgy so be careful though!!
